Highly recommend to go for ice cave tour with Adventure Point. It is the best tour in my life ever. Gunnar is the perfect tour guide. His passion, knowledge and humor makes the journey amazing. He always had a lot of patience to wait for us to take photos and gave us some suggestions to take beautiful pictures. If I have chances to come again, I will absolutely go for Adventure Point every time.

Absolutely amazing day!!! We had such a great experience touring the ice caves today. My partner and I ended up being the only ones who booked on that day so had a 1 on 1 guided tour. Gunner who runs the tours is very knowledgeable and friendly. Made us feel really comfortable and gave us a great experience. He was also a fantastic photographer and kindly offered to take some photos of us as a couple and did a brilliant job.
Really easy to locate from the parking lot detailed. After being loaded into a super jeep car the journey was about 20 minutes. Once we got as far as we could be car we walked about 20 minutes to the entrance of the glacier. We managed to go in inbetween other tours so practically had the caves to ourselves too. After about 30 minutes in the main cave we were taken to a smaller secondary cave with a river running though. Everything was beautiful and just as we imagined. Thank you so much for giving us a brilliant experience, we highly recommend ?❄️

Beyond expectation !
Gunna was very professional and insightful. Plus super friendly 🙂 the tour operates in a small group so even there were so many other groups, we didnt feel packed. Enough time was given. Pacing was just right. We had a great time and was the unforgettable experience.

Awesome Local guide that leads small groups through the ice cave

Gunnar is a local guide that grew up in this area and therefore was able to show us the ice caves during the time where no tourists were there. Also, he leads only small groups through the ice caves, which makes the experience of the shining blue ice all around you very magically (only us+guide). I think Gunnar is probably one of the best secret tips and the ice cave tour was one of our best experiences during our 1 month Iceland trip.
Further, he knows a lot interesting facts about the glacier and the area and we were able to go into the cave until the very end.
Tip: bring along some waterbottles... The guide can show you the location to fill up glacier water and that was the best water I've ever tasted.
Would recommend this tour 10/10 and will definitely book it again when I return to Iceland.

Adventure point is owned by Gunnar, a kind Icelander that grew up in the area. He can tell you a lot about the mountains, the glacier and the caves. He has a cool truck and does tours with small groups at times where few other big companies are inside of the cave. Best price for the area. Stop looking further and go for adventure point if you are interested in visite an awesome ice cave and getting some beautiful pictures!

Did the ice cave tour today. It was incredible and Gunnar was super friendly. He was very knowledgeable and patient and more than happy to stop at photo spots to take a few photos.
The cave was super pretty with blue colors shining through the ice. Couldn't reccomend enough!! Also, it is great to know it's a local, family run business.

Visiting an ice cave with Gunner from Adventure Point was a memorable experience! I would highly recommend this company. They keep group sizes to 8 people (ours had 6), which makes for a more personal experience in the cave. The timing of the tour was just right, allowing us to visit the cave without crowding from other tourists.

I felt safe with Gunner driving the van down the bumpy, winding road. The hike from the van to the ice cave was enjoyable, with gorgeous views of the mountains and glacier. Gunner gave us personal insights into Iceland and was knowledgeable in responding to questions we had. Choose Adventure Point for your Icelandic adventures!

I booked the glacier ice cave tour with Adventure Point because it is a local, family run business. There are a lot of different tours you can book to see these beautiful caves, but the guide will really make a difference in the experience you'll have. Gunnar timed the tour perfectly so our little group of 4 was the only one in the cave. He has tons of interesting knowledge about the glaciers and is funny, patient and kind.
