This review is for my experience with the dance classes, not with the theater its self. Giving 3 stars because of that, otherwise it would be lower. I am not sure how their shows are.

Friend and I booked the Tuesday community class on May 4th for the 13th. We showed up and all doors were locked. Some guy let us in and we wandered around trying to find the location of the class, but found nothing. Looked like class was cancelled, but we never got a refund or an email about the cancellation. We check the website and the classes from the 13th- 27th were now gone. I had to reach out to get a refund, to which they responded quickly, claiming I would have my refund by yesterday, and offering me a free class in the summer. No refund as of today. I emailed again, but I wanted to let people know to be wary of their classes. It’s seems they do not notify of cancellations and are fine taking your money. There should be a system in place when this happens. Very unprofessional.

Addendum: refund kicked in. Still annoyed that if I had never emailed them, I’d be out $15.

Had a great experience! Rented space for a private event. Was able to park and unload things right off 45th. The staff was helpful and friendly. Space was nice and organized when we got there. Whole process was a good experience - Easy to find information, talking on phone with the staff, take a tour of the space, book it and pay. I would recommend them to anyone looking to book event space!

It has been years now, but one of their dancers was dropped and suffered a permanent, life altering spinal cord injury while dancing with them. She was never compensated by them, and Attack Theatre never to my knowledge never did any systemic changes to improve dancer safety. I'd never go watch one of their shows again...I don't think they put dancer safety first. They just moved on, while I watched someone I cared about wither away with her new life altering injury, left to fend for herself financially with a partial disability settlement after she was declared partially disabled. They didn't even have an event in her honor to try to help her. It really felt like they didn't care. She should’ve sued them, but there wouldn’t have been much money in the organization to compensate her. If it’s one thing Attack Theatre excels in it is this- throwing away a human being and acting like it never happened. But the show must go on, right?
