We visited this place while on spring break with the kids. Cool little park to walk through with easy access to the rivers. We also visited the museum which was very informative and fun to walk through. Watch out for all the animal droppings as you walk through the grass.

Lovely park with great views of the river and historic landmarks throughout. There is a lot to see. We were there on Juneteenth, and it was crowded but not overwhelmingly so. The museum, unfortunately, was closed during our visit, but you can still see outdoor exhibits, the outline of the two forts that once stood on this site, and enjoy the fountain and the views.

One of the olden landmark as said in the description right around the peninsula facing the Pittsburgh football stadium. The city has kept one of the old structure alive to showcase the history. I had good time with people showing how the cooking was done in olden time, the rifleman, and the hunting culture for survival. The giant water fountain at the peninsula was majestic. I would definitely recommend anyone to spending time at this park for weekend or weekdays whatever permits your schedule.
The only complaint I have is parking space. Not enough parking spot for peak period. You will need to hunt for one if the weather is good 😊.

Nice area. Clean. Wish there was more info about the history of the fort available on the trail. There’s a nearby museum but I wasn’t able to make it before it closed.

This is a lovely park, just steps away from downtown Pittsburgh. There are walking and biking paths, shady places to sit and enjoy the views and a vendor to buy drinks and snacks.

I thought this place has great energy. It’s the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers that starts the mighty Ohio River. It’s vastly a historical site with its ties to the very beginnings of the French and Indian War. It offers a great view of Pittsburgh and all its glory. Many walking paths that offer nice benches everywhere. Offers some stadium style seating along the rivers too.

The outline of Fort Duquesne reminds us of the global significance of the forks of the Ohio. The French, Indigenous, Pennsylvania, and Virginia contested access to this area for its importance in trade. The outline is covered in lights so it lights up in the evening, night, and early morning. This is a great area for those who want to walk their dogs, enjoy the scenery of the park, and to immerse one's self in the historic and geographical landmark that is Point State Park.

A favorite place to visit whenever in Pittsburgh, especially on the nicer days during any season of the year. The old Fort footprint is laid out in granite stone in the middle of a flat area at Point State Park. Great location adjacent to the Point Fountain (currently not operational, Sept 2025), The Fort Pitt Museum, and the Three Rivers confluence.
