It was a very fun experience. I haven't been to the horseshoe curve since I was a kid and you walked the old railroad ties to the top. I enjoyed watching the trains and being up there after hours was really cool especially when the trains came through at night. At one point we had 3 trains going round the curve. It was a blast if you enjoy trains. Also learned there is a live web cam you can watch on youtube. I wish they had the thing running to take u to the top but they didn't. They did put the lights on though and it was beautiful lit up at night. I will admit though the composting toilets were a bit odd though, they kinda gave me horror movie vibes, but it is what it is.

Gorgeous scenery, very exciting to see the trains. The gift shop and museum had a ton of great information and fun knick knacks. Absolutely worth visiting whether you're into trains or not.

I highly recommend purchasing tickets at Horseshoe curve before you come here. Better value overall. The weekend I visited the museum's grounds were under construction so aside from the smaller indoor exhibit area the rest of the grounds were off limits to visitors. The fence has larger slits in it so if you're a railbuff or photographer like me it won't keep you from getting half decent photos. I'm sure the museum is great when operating in a fuller capacity but as it stands there's a little left to be desired until the grounds are re-opened to visitors.

A superb venue. I went to wingfest and was thoroughly impressed. It is a secure and friendly environment for all ages. My children enjoyed their time. My parents enjoyed their time. And so did my wife and I. This organization knows how to host an experience. Don't hesitate to attend them.

Wonderful setup with amazing displays. Tons of information and was able to do a tour of the roundhouse to see the progress of the K4 restoration. Which was very cool!

I really enjoyed my recent visit to this museum. There are three indoor stories with exhibits, including a cinema that shows two short films once an hour. There are also outdoor pieces (locomotives, cars, and a caboose) at the roundhouse that you can visit. It's not nearly as big as the museum in Strasburg, but it's nice and it's definitely worth the time.
