I initially chose to work with Mira because of her excellent reviews. She was prompt in answering my questions leading up to the wedding, which I appreciated. However, the wedding day experience was far from satisfactory, and I quickly regretted hiring her.

Despite providing detailed instructions, Mira appeared unprepared at the rehearsal, seemingly unfamiliar with the materials I had sent. She had very little printed, so I ended up creating an entire binder for her. On the wedding day, although Mira did contribute to setting up the tables, much of the work was done by the wedding party.

Mira’s choice of attire—a pink overall dress—on the wedding day was surprising, though I didn’t mind as I wanted her to be comfortable. However, other vendors mentioned she was either rude or difficult to work with. Instead of managing issues discreetly, she brought several problems directly to me. For instance, she informed me about the lack of ice, a situation that previous coordinators I’ve worked with would have handled without involving the bride. During my sunset photos, she interrupted with a $30 receipt, wanting immediate payment.

The mishandling of my cake was particularly upsetting. It had a handprint on it and was completely melted when served. My baker had given Mira explicit instructions to keep the cake refrigerated until it was time to cut it.

Mira also struggled to be assertive with the DJ. She informed me that he was unprepared for the toasts, leaving me to address the issue directly with him. Additionally, she moved a vendor’s table as requested, but tangled their lights in the process, creating another problem I had to solve.

Despite being hired to handle cleanup, Mira started packing up before the event ended, which would have been fine if not for the way she did it. Guests complained that she was clearing tables while they were still eating and disposing of party favors. Her carelessness damaged our welcome poster, which was not properly stored.

Overall, Mira’s coordination did not make my wedding day easier. Instead, it added more stress. Given the amount of work I ended up doing myself, I regret not investing in a more capable coordinator.

We can’t thank Mira enough for coordinating our wedding. She we absolutely incredible to work with. This is a longer review because her ability to overcome challenges, be flexible and have patience can only truly be appreciated when understanding what our day looked like.

Wedding morning was sunny and gorgeous to start off, but then the weather had other plans by afternoon. We were prepared for some showers and set up tents to keep my outside ceremony vision alive, but a couple of hours before our ceremony start, the tent legs snapped from the crazy wind. Plan B was to move everything to the barn where the reception will be held, create an aisle, and guests can sit at their seats. What a task, with maybe an hour or so to go. We are so grateful to Mira for her experience, and all of the hard work and flexibility that went into these last minute changes. She led the cool and collected charge and was on top of everything from placing boutonnières and corsages, adding final touches to the guest tables, resetting up the arch and sweetheart table, placing vendors, and ensuring an aisle was established once we regrouped. After all of that, she kept a positive attitude and pumped us all up before walking down, and ensured the rest of the reception ran smoothly. I couldn’t have asked for better support and at the end of the day I was married to my best friend and we threw a heck of a party to celebrate. Thank you for everything Humble Hostess! It was OUR perfect day❤️

Also, as a side note to brides, I highly recommend adding the rehearsal coordination, especially if you have a medium/larger wedding party or if it’s the first time many of your party will be in a wedding. Mira is a great coach and kept everyone on their cues, putting me at complete ease. She even brings a voice amplifier to ensure everyone can hear and a bridal bouquet to practice handoffs.

Was not happy with my experience and have yet received an email back to discuss anything I paid so much money didn’t receive have the professionalism and effort that I should have got Daniella had all the notes and schematics of the venue I when I arrived all the tables were not how they were supposed to be and instead of fixing that she was putting out all the tableware and I had to come from getting ready to tell the venue to fix everything. I had vendors calling me because I couldn’t find my coordinator to go and figure out exactly where they were supposed to be so as I’m getting ready, I’m having my coordinator job for what I paid her to do during my wedding having to figure out where she was and look for her also her giving attitude and rudeness to my family having her hang out with DJ the whole time at the wedding She should have been doing that I paid her to

I hired Mira for day of coordination + clean up for my wedding in July of 2023. She is very affordable and passionate at what she does. On the day of the wedding, I appreciated her going out of her way to help make the day go as smoothly as possible. I also appreciated her honesty when there was miscommunication between vendors. Would highly recommend!

I was assigned with Amanda as my day of coordinator. She executed perfectly, and did an amazing job for the day of my wedding with set up and vendor assignment/coordination.
She kept us on check with the timeline as well. Highly recommend humble hostess if you’re also on a budget.

Humble Hostess was my event planner for a house warming party. I wanted to be focusing on my new home, not planning a party. That's where they came in and made things easy!!!
