We hired Event Advantage for both DJ and bartending services at our wedding reception, and they truly made the night unforgettable! Louis, our DJ, was absolutely fantastic. His communication was spot on, both leading up to and during the event. He coached us through all the big moments—ensuring everything from our first dance to the toasts flowed smoothly. He really understood the vibe we wanted and kept the energy high all night long.

The bartender was equally amazing—super friendly, quick, and attentive. She quickly realized that our crowd loved shots, and she made sure they were dressed and ready to flow all night long! .

We also hired extra help through Event Advantage, and though we didn’t interact with him much, he did a great job behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. We couldn’t be happier with Event Advantage and highly recommend them for any special event!

We had the absolute best experience with Event Advantage and Louis! Our wedding venue was all inclusive and used the Event Advantage team for DJ, catering and our photobooth!

Catering - We had our initial tasting with Louis two months before our wedding and loved his joyful, passionate personality. You can tell he truly loves what he does! We already had an idea of what food we wanted for the wedding - and he helped us dial in on sides and allowed us to make adjustments to our main menu (we adapted his bbq chicken skewer side into a main entrée - his homemade bbq sauce is to die for! And added an extra side on, because they were just that amazing)

Every single person have we chatted with after the wedding was raving about out food - they thoroughly enjoyed everything they tried and Louis had provided enough to invite people back for seconds , which is amazing!

DJ - Louis helped keep the day rolling smoothly and efficiently. We had some rain in the morning that ended up clearing up, and he was so great at adapting before and after the weather changed to help give us the best experience where his equipment was set up and moving it throughout the night. He kept everyone informed politely and professionally during the different events of the night.

Photobooth - Our photobooth was included in our wedding package and we really didn't know what to expect. Event Advantages setup was incredible and above all of our expectations! It was so user friendly, was customized with our names and wedding date - and provided print outs and a little photo cutter for the dual set of photos that printed out - it was absolutely perfect and so much fun for our guests! They even provided props for guests to use in the photos

Phone Guest Book - another fun little addition was our phone guest book! We haven't received the audio from these
yet but could see our guests testing this out and have been asking about it since, saying what a cool idea this was!

BUYER BEWARE - If you are looking for a professional, caring and understanding catering and dj company to go with for the biggest day of your life - DO NOT go with this company.

My husband and I hired them for our wedding. They had great prices and Lou offered to take off $100 if I booked their catering AND their DJ package. So we did. There was a bit of miscommunication to start with, I wasn't made fully aware of the process, so I was waiting for months to hear from them until I finally took the initiative to reach out to Lou - he apologized for the miscommunication and then gave me direction on next steps.

About a month or so before the wedding, we found out that Lou wasn't going to be our DJ, and that he was going to assign one of his other DJ's. Lou vouched for him and said that we were in great hands, we have a seasoned DJ and that he trusts him to do a great job. We had inquired about the dancing on the clouds, and Lou mentioned that it would look nice for our first dance only but it's only good for about 1 dance. I also asked him since we had an outdoor wedding, if it would have the same effect - he said that the way it works and is designed that the fog should stay on the floor, mind you Lou said he had done weddings before at my venue, so he should know right? I was also very particular with the plates/chargers/utensils that I had wanted to use since I had a theme (like most weddings do...) and with the package we got - it actually came with plates, cups and utensils (plastic). I had talked to Lou, and had asked if we went out and purchased our own plates/chargers/napkins/cups/ and utensils - if he would be able to take a little off the price since they wouldn't be providing them. He said yes, so we went out and purchased cloth napkins, burlap chargers, plates (dinner & appetizer) and custom frosted cups for our guests. All of this came out to about $500 (give or take). Lou offered to take off $100. Which was fine, we knew we were going way over but it was worth it and the custom plastic frosted cups served as a party favor for our guests to take home.

I had a very particular vibe that I wanted to set at our wedding, so I went out of my way to create a number of playlists on Spotify and added way more songs than needed to each playlist so that there was no reason why the DJ would run out of song selections. I had the following playlists : Guest Arrival, Processionals, Cocktail Hour, Dinner, Bride and Groom First Dance, and Reception Dancing. I laid out the order in grave detail for the DJ to follow and specifically asked for them not to veer off the playlists, not take any special requests, AND specifically NO explicit content as we were going to have a lot of kids there. Lou said it was unusual BUT that it was going to be a SUPER easy event for his DJ. I need to note that for our first dance, I gave Lou the mp3 file - the original song is very long so we edited the song and choreographed our waltz to the edited version.

The biggest day of my life would soon be ruined, I am running out of characters for this review. To make it short, the DJ was late so wedding started late, mics weren't working, DJ played the wrong song for our First dance - played the original song so we had to do our dance twice once the song didn't transition to the edited version, DJ did some sort of robotic fade out on my father/daughter dance which was beyond embarrassing, DJ did not dress professionally, DJ was drinking on the job, DJ was no where to be found when we needed him (he was off chasing some of my female co-workers), DJ kept playing songs that weren't on my playlist AND were explicit, DJ kept "mixing" when I asked him not to, a TON of my guests got food poisoning the next day, and Lou's wife Shelly is super unprofessional and disrespectful. I'm attaching my last message to Lou about the matter, the conclusion - they've ghosted me and refuse to give any sort of compensation. Lou told me he fired the DJ, as he has a history of doing what he did at my wedding.

I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Louis and Chele were great to work with on my daughters wedding. Although we hired them to DJ and cater they also gave us lots of good advice. The food was delicious and Louis was a great DJ. He also kept things moving as Master of Ceremonies.
In the first picture you can see Louis in the background orchestrating the cake cutting. In the second picture Louis, his assistant, the DJ booth, and TV he used for a video can be seen in the background. 3rd picture-Louis also had a DJ set up in our back country area for the ceremony. It brought the ceremony to life. All went off as planned. Event Advantage did a great job and would hire again. Already referring to friends.

November 2020 we were married at the Sutter Hotel, Sutter Creek California. We used Event Advantage who was on the recommended list provided by the Sutter Hotel. Anita and I were incredibly pleased with Louie and his daughter Michelle. From the initial communications and picking genres things went smoothly. They provided a photo booth that we enjoyed, and my guest enjoyed very much. Louie was a great master of ceremonies. He worked with us on timing, when the toast would be, first dance and helped me pick out a perfect song for a daddy and daughter dance. Michelle and Louie adhered to COVID-19 safety measures which was reassuring to us. Our wedding weekend was epic, and we are incredibly happy we used Event Advantage! We highly recommend! Event Advantage is a 10/10. Louis played a little bit of each genres and was able to keep my guests entertained. I loved their Photo Booth for our wedding such a wonderful memory. Free prints for guests and a copy for us to keep. He’s very informative when discussing options and even gave song recommendations when I couldn’t think. Thanks again Event Advantage!

I can honestly say Loui is the best dj I have had the pleasure of working with. He always feels out the vibes of the current crowd to please all of our customers here at the OC. He gets the crowd dancing and is always so nice, fun, and supportive of us bartenders and friends. When I do get married in the future I will definitely hire him to be my dj 🙂

Event Advantage did the catering for my granddaughters 1st birthday party, the presentation of food was outstanding, the planning and flow of the party was smooth and let every guest relax and enjoy the party. I highly recommend Event Advantage. I will definitely be using them again.
