Every detail was attended to perfectly. Absolutely wonderful stay in this wonderfully friendly and exceptional Inn. The great/living room was an architectural marvel. We enjoyed spending our mornings viewing the pine trees and grounds. Our Tuscany room was tastefully comfortable, clean, and enjoyable. The breakfast brunch and afternoon wine and cheese board were beautifully presented and delicious.

I was looking for a woodsy venue for a get away weekend where I didn't have to prepare food. This place checked all the boxes. The lodge was gorgeous, the surrounding grounds were very woodsy and the wine barrels in the back patio felt like we were at a private winery. Each evening we enjoyed the local wines and custom charcuterie boards that Chef Bruce created for us. Coffee and morning breakfast was served in the lodge's great room. For dinner, Bruce suggested several nearby restaurants that are a short drive away, some even within walking distance.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts were phenomenal and the evening charcuterie board was a nice touch. We would definitely come back if we are in the area and can’t recommend it enough. The rooms are spacious and the grounds of the property are beautiful. It would be ideal for a small wedding.

Always amazing! Bruce is a great chef and our breakfast and cheese trays were awesome. My wife and I will definitely return again. This was our third time visiting and each time the service, cleanliness and attentiveness has been off the charts.

This place goes above and beyond to make you feel truly at home - they have everything you could ask for and more! The breakfast was outstanding and the lovely afternoon wine and cheese plate was such an added bonus. Plus the rooms were comfortable with good AC and great amenities. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

20 years ago my wife and I spent our honeymoon night at the Black Bear Inn. Bruce and Wendi were great hosts and were so warm and welcoming. Our experience this time was just as warm and welcoming as it was 20 years ago. We felt right at home and were treated like a king and queen. Every part of the experience was honest and genuine. Highly recommended!

This is one of the nicest B&Bs I have experienced. The setting is beautiful and quiet, the lodge is impressive and the breakfasts are delicious. I stayed in the Calaveras Room which was exceptional in all respects - large, lots of window, excellent bathroom and very well appointed.

With walkers, a cane and a wheelchair in tow, the Black Bear Inn and host Bruce, created a luxurious stay for our mid 90 year old parents. Bruce made every effort to accommodate all their particular needs. They were thrilled with the comfort of their bed, the room, the food, and the ambience of their stay.
