We had a two night stay here on the way back from Markleeville. I highly recommend it
Clean, comfortable and quiet in our room which was toward the back of the lodge. There was a cozy space in back with tables and chairs and a fire pit should you want to bring your meal outside.
The room had a microwave and a refrigerator. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo and conditioner.
There are a number of restaurants in walking distance of the lodge.

We were filming in the area and were looking for a hotel to house of crew for the week and Timberline was ideal. The location is very central, the staff incredibly accommodating, and the rooms - especially the two back ones - worked perfectly for our production needs. There's also a nice garden area where we could have lunch and a porch with rocking chairs. The lodge is also walking distance to a lake and several shops and stores.

Quaint lodge with rustic charm! We had 2 comfy queen beds and a single in our room too! The space was large enough for 4 women and all their STUFF! lol. We called to make a reservation and the clerk was a bit snippy saying they closed at 9 pm., however, after telling her we’d go somewhere else she changed her tune a little and found us this room. She was much more pleasant in person. This is a small roadside lodge with no ice machine or breakfast offered but well worth the stay!

vey nice room with a queen. I would certainly come again. Stayed 3 nights. Only gripe was no breakfast but none in area...tthere was a good place across the street

Quaint - charming, almost rustic but modern at the same time.
Easy access off Highway 4.
Comfortable bed, spacious room.

This place looks nice enough, but if you value sleep, don't stay here. It is right alongside the highway and you can hear every single car and truck that drives by. And not just a little bit, but loudly. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The shower is awful. The wifi is non-existent. And to top it off, there was a note that says if you dirty any towels with makeup or dirty feet, they will charge you. We had a spill of hot chocolate and we used a towel to clean it up. The lady at the front desk wanted an explanation why we didn't get a cleaning cloth from her even though the office isn't open until 10:00 a.m.||Do yourself a favor, find someplace else to stay.

We stayed in a room on the backside of the Lodge, on Blagen rd. The room was very quiet. We like to sleep with a window open for ventilation and care about traffic noise. We experienced almost no traffic sounds. The room was neat and cozy. The bed was comfortable. The staff was excellent, as was the service in the room. We very much look forward to staying here again.

Very cute and cozy place. The room was clean and nice, but the temperature was too hot, 80 at night and the AC was too loud to keep on. The walls are thin, you can hear people in the next rooms, the floors creak alot. But other than that, it's a great place.
