I was very satisfied with my stay at econo lodge. The room was clean with a good mattress I had a good night's sleep. The way the motel is set up there is very little street noise and overall it was quiet and settled down by 9pm..the ice machine was not working but ice was available in the lobby. The pool was closed but I didn't care. The manager was very welcoming friendly and attentive..I need to come through Barstow every so often I will stay here again I thought it was a great value

Positive: Location Negative: No ac in room before entering. Was in high 90s an ac unit took over 3 hours to cool to 70. Ac in minimal breakfast room set at 89! Twinkies for food! Very little selection.

We needed a place to sleep for the night during our roadtrip so weren’t very picky about where to stop. Overall it served our purpose just fine, and we had a quiet and restful night.

the cons would be that the sheets weren’t the cleanest, mine had a stain on it and the covers had a hole. The
bathroom didn’t have body wash but had shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I always just take mine with me so not really a bother

Came in at midnight, and they refused to rent a room by walking up to the window and stating no when the sign said vacancies. If they are this lazy to rent a room, how do you think they clean and care for the rooms?

good wifi and tv. clean room. clean comfortable bed. the room I was in was poorly lit, and a little sparse on outlets. A/C worked ok. polite professional staff. close to lots of eateries. not sure about the breakfast since I had to leave before it was offered. great budget stop in the area.

DO NOT STAY HERE. And don’t think about maybe it’s not that bad.

We were doing a road trip and had stayed at previous Econo Lodges, thinking maybe there were just a few bad reviews as we have had great clean experiences before. We pulled in pretty late at night, probably around midnight, as a final destination after a long day of driving. There was nobody around. After waiting for 10-20 mins (be right back sign) a man in pajamas finally showed up and helped us out. He was rude and made it apparent that we were bothering him so late at night. We had to actually ask him if he had a problem with providing us a room given his attitude.

Then… our room was DISGUSTING. Cigarette burns and stains in the blankets/sheets, weird substances on the night stand and in the sink, used tissue in the trash, dirt on the walls on furniture, and the tub, YUCK, burns with a nasty shower curtain and not clean tub.

Not sure what this was about but as we contemplated if we were gonna stay, a car pulled into the parking lot directly in front of our room. We watched and they didn’t leave, so we went outside to “rummage” in the car and they LEFT ? Yep just pulled away… what is going on. We were so freaked out we just left and went to the Best Western.

The next morning we arrived and asked for a refund. Of course we we’re denied but not just denied, he walked away and left the office instead of simply saying no after we pleaded our grievances. My theory- he gave us a disgusting room on purpose for waking him up in the middle of the night.

Staff was very friendly and helpful in every way possible. Rooms are nice, and Appreciate that the building makes a courtyard style area out of the pool/laundry/parking lot. Pretty flowers planted around it and limited vehicle traffic to worry about.
