We cannot recommend Ridgefield enough! We would give them 10 stars if we could. This venue is not only the most magical setting, but is run by the sweetest people you will ever meet. Scott, Krista, and Nikki are very professional and worked so hard to make sure we had the best day ever. The redwood ceremony grove is truly the most beautiful setting and the patio is the perfect place to dance the night away. Our dream wedding really came to life at Ridgefield! We will always remember the 21st night of September!!

Ridgefield combines the natural beauty of the redwood forest with easy accessibility for grandma. There's a ceremony location that borders on the Arcata Redwood Community Forest, and for the reception area there's a paved area great for a dance floor or smaller groups and large grass lawn perfect for a tent for larger groups, or cornhole/games for family. The space is great in that it can accommodate groups small and large. We had a blast getting ready in the bridal suite on site.

As quasi out-of-towners (my husband has worked out of the Humboldt area, but we don’t live there), we quickly realized what a small town Humboldt can be. There is a limited selection of wedding vendors, and many of the vendors that we reached out to left much to be desired in terms of communication. It was a major stress for us in planning.

Scott & Krista were the shining stars. They went above and beyond in helping us through the process and coordinating with vendors to make sure everything would be taken care of (down to making sure we had things like napkins and water jugs). They even helped us get an on-site babysitter, which ended up a big plus up allowing the adults to have fun. Nikki, their coordinator, joined the team towards the end of our planning and was also a joy to work with. When our oyster guy dropped out last minute, she pulled some strings and found us a replacement!

Their costs are reasonable and having a wedding in the redwoods is much cooler and more unique than a vineyard. The food was DELICIOUS - best wedding food I've ever had, and they even boxed up some leftovers for us. It's those little things that made the experience so special. Some of our guests were doubtful about the distance, but those that came were blown away and said ours was the best wedding they'd been to.

Anybody who is looking for the best redwoods wedding and the highest quality, most beautiful venue in the area - Ridgefield events is the best decision you can make.

We had a little bit of a weather scare the day/night before but everyone was up bright and early the next day making sure everything went off without a hitch. The experience of working with Ridgefield Wedding & Events to plan my son and daughter in law’s wedding this past June was a seamless and uplifting pleasure. All the planning came together for a glorious, memorable wedding in the Ceremony Grove, nature’s most magnificent natural chapel. The afternoon sun filtered down through the redwoods on the bridal party as they processed in. The golden quality of the light was exquisite and magical. The energy from the redwood forest and beautiful setting was palpable. The front yard and terrace of the main house was a beautiful setting for pre-dinner cocktails and mingling. The dinner, the dancing, the wedding cake, all went smoothly and were truly wonderful. One of a kind venue and experience! I officiated a wedding at Ridgefield and was thoroughly impressed with how warm, inviting and professional both Krista and Scott were from beginning to end. Not only do they offer an exceptional spot (more on that), but the accessibility to town is unrivaled. Driving up the hill one wonders where am I going? But once you arrive you enter into a grand opening of a banana belt, surrounded by breathtaking redwoods and a building straight out of a fairytale that was made to host events… one feels transported upon arrival. The grandeur of the gentle breeze whispering through the forest is amazing not to mention ripe for gorgeous photos. The patio where the wedding ceremony takes place is nothing short of perfect-plenty of room for guests and photos before and after. Scott and Krista have access to multiple vendors who will help anyone create the wedding of their dreams. Highly recommend this stellar team and venue. If I could give more stars, I would!

Ridgefield is breathtakingly gorgeous, tucked away in the forest of Arcata, California. The fog climbs through the trees that encircle the property, which is fitted with a bespoke rose garden that looks like it was designed by a British royal gardener. Scott and Krista are impeccably professional and only work with the very best business collaborators in the area, and the two of them beyond being professional are delightfully warm and inviting. I HIGHLY recommend this venue! Cannot recommend more highly, to be honest.
