I took my very first international trip with Abiri to Cuba in 2019. I have to say it was the most amazing first trip I could’ve asked for, and glad it was through this company. Ashley likes to focus on an immersive experience, where you are connected with local people to participate in activities specific to the area. Everything we did was so fun. The best part of the trip though were the nightly discussions about Cuban culture, current events happening, and hearing the perspectives of very intelligent and thoughtful local friends of Ashley’s. The trip was very affordable, and Ashley made sure we had the tools we needed to feel safe and comfortable in an unfamiliar area. Would love to go again, and I plan on taking more trips planned by Abiri Tours.

Words cannot express the value and importance of Abiri Tours! We had the pleasure of traveling with Abiri for a trip to Cuba! It was my first time out country (outside of commercial cruising). Every detail was well thought out. Our lodging was beyond beautiful, our hosts ensured a hearty breakfast every morning! And the coffee... I was obsessed! The walking tours Abiri arranged for us were informative and fun! Nothing we did felt touristy- our hosts Aisha and Ashley were both incredibly humble, experienced and down to earth and this aided to the authenticity and the connection we experience in Cuba. They even took us to a local spot where we listened to live music and we danced in the streets with the locals! The food was amazing and the people were beautiful. I fell in love with our day trip to Vinales - the view was unmatched! It was so much fun! Words cannot express the value of this trip. Most importantly I am amazed by the intention Abiri sets on giving back to the people. Ashley and Aisha were prepared and educated about the people, their culture and their language. They curated every detail of our trip and I cannot wait for my next trip with Abiri!

Abiri Tours provides a travel experience unmatched by any other travel company. Ashley has established relationships with locals from each of the countries in which you will visit. These relationships enable the traveler to become totally immersed in the culture. While on tour one can expect to be connected with a knowledgeable tour guide that will explain the history behind various monuments, buildings and way of life. Abiri Tours is definitely money well spent.

Have traveled to Cuba and Guatemala with Abiri Tours and plan to do more!! As a college student and now recent grad, their services and payment plans fit my budget, while still giving me great quality. Having traveled extensively with different trip providers, I can say Abiri Tours comes in first place for quality lodging, excursions/tours, and knowing the local food scene.

It is NOT full-out luxury, resort-type of travel. It’s clean and basic, because you will be spending most of your time out and about rather than in your room.

This is the travel company you use when you want to experience the culture and community of a place. Ashley and Aisha (the owners) have developed strong relationships with the communities they travel to and are big on supporting the local entrepreneurs, by highlighting them on our tours, choosing local hosts for lodging rather than big-name hotels, etc. For social responsibility (which is so important in a tourism industry that has done more damage than good) I rate Abiri a 10/10.

Abiri also gives back! For the Guatemala trip in 2019, they partnered with a well-known eyeglasses company to provide much-needed eyewear to locals. Abiri has also collected school supplies and hygiene products for families in need.

All this being said, I LOVE spending my money with ABIRI TOURS. I consider my annual trips with them one of the best investments I make in myself and in the global community. My favorite thing about the Abiri trips are the discussions we have that push me to think about political, social, and cultural issues and how I can do my part as an individual. Abiri Tours is definitely a breath of fresh air in the tourism industry.
