Disappointed to say the least. I contacted a travel agent working here via email twice. After finally receiving an email back from her and responding I was never emailed back again. I attempted to call and left the travel agent 2 voicemails, again never received a response. So, I decided to try to work with someone else here. I called Acadiana travel and a women answered the phone. I began telling her that I’m ready to book my honeymoon to Ireland. She began asking details, when would we like to go (flexible dates), How long (7 days total in Ireland 2 days to travel), “what’s your budget?” ($6,500.00.). Her response to that was “oh…. That’s going to cover just your flights….” I told her we didn’t want to fly first that we would be happy with basic economy and she told me to hold on a second. She proceeded to ask someone else while on the phone with me how much round trip tickets are from Lafayette to Dublin and she came back on the phone and said yes, they are running at about $1,800.00 per ticket…. I then put her on speaker phone and looked up flights myself because the night before when I looked they were $994.00. while looking up flights again I asked if they worked with certain airlines and she said no they work with all airlines, it just depends. I tell her they have round trip tickets in July for $994 each in July….. she said “oh… okay..what airline is that?” She collected more information and said she would put something together and call me at the end of the week. Here we are 2 weeks later and not a peep from these agents. This whole process left me feeling like I didn’t have enough money and that unless I was upping my budget for them to make more money they didn’t want my business. So unless you have BIG BUCKS to spend they apparently don’t want to work with you. We have our whole honeymoon planned with another travel agent UNDER Budget. Don’t recommend this place at all. I’ve never felt like I wasn’t in the right “tax bracket” until my interaction with these agents. Disappointed and disgusted.

I talked to an agent over the phone giving all details on the trip we wanted to take end of December this year. After 30 plus minutes of outlining all the details of places, excursions, budget I sent a follow up email so the agent also had it detailed in writing. Well that was over a month ago and we haven't heard a thing back from the agent. I have emailed and called multiple times. We have now wasted over a month waiting to hear back, we could have spent this time planning the trip ourselves! We are extremely disappointed with how unprofessional this agency is and would never recommend it to anyone. I mean how hard is it to just to be honest with your clients and give a simple "sorry we don't wish to work with you" ... Total waste of our time!

Just received a refund on tickets that I purchased to Spain in May. Kristin was incredible. Instead of us just getting a credit she waited until flight was canceled and then stayed on top of negotiating with airline to get full refund. This probably would not have happened if I booked it myself. Everyone needs a great travel agent and Kristin and the crew at Acadiana Travel are the best of the best!!!

Ms Janet Theriot did not meet my group’s expectations as a compassionate travel agent from start to finish. She was sent an email and letter regarding our concerns, to which we have never received a reply or consideration. Not the best treatment for paying customers.

Camille Autin with Acadiana Travel made our 40th wedding Anniversary very special for us. Camille booked our flights and planned the itinerary for us which included a 5 Star hotel at Niagara-on-the Lake. Camille handled the airline reservations, hotel accommodations and tourist attractions. Camille recommended certain dinner times for us that avoided large crowds while saving us expenses, also. It was a great travel experience.

Cheryl planned our honeymoon/anniversary trip of a lifetime - 18 days in New Zealand in 2019; half on the south island, half on the north. The tours, transfers, flights, hotels, etc. were top notch and we didn’t spend an absolute fortune either. It was zero thinking or planning on our part because it was practically mapped out for us, yet there were days built in so we could explore on our own. Cheryl will be booking our next international trip for sure.
