Samantha is the BEST of the best! We hired Sam for a 3 week board and train for our 7 month old golden retriever, Hazel, who was a constant jumper and near impossible to walk on leash. Honestly, I was so worried that Hazel's loving, sweet personality would change after going off for 3 weeks of training, but I am happy to say I was so wrong! Hazel did come back a completely different dog, but in the absolute BEST way! Our walks are now flawless, she no longer jumps, when she is off-leash her recall is on point and she goes to "place" on command. I love that Sam also incorporates socialization with field trips to busy stores and daily pack walks. She also taught her to walk on a treadmill! This has been a game changer on the days when it is too hot/cold or raining outside to walk. Sam also sends lots of videos and pictures throughout your pups training which I absolutely love!

Sam is just so sweet and makes you feel like your dog is as important to her as they are to you. She is a wealth of information from training, to food, equipment, health, etc. And the best part is that Hazel loves to visit Sam for boarding when we go out of town. Here’s a funny… when I am watching Sam's videos on FB or IG and Hazel hears Sam's voice, she immediately jumps up and runs around the house looking for her... every time! I cannot recommend Sam and Adventure Dog Training enough. My husband and I are still so amazed at how much Hazel has learned in just a short amount of time. Samantha is truly the best in the business and worth every penny!

We can not recommend Samantha more!! My fiance and I hired her for private lessons to help get our 2 year old lab and 3 year old frenchie ready for a road trip we were planning to take to Oregon. At the time our lab Ollie could not sit still in a public space, he would pull on leash, and demand bark like crazy wherever we went. After just one lesson with Sam we saw a huge difference in both of our dogs! She was amazing with coordinating with our busy schedules because we both work night shift. Anytime I would call or text Sam for advice she would respond right away with help and answered all of our questions! I am a very overprotective dog mom and Sam was the perfect balance of caring, kind, and warm energy. She made us feel at ease and we trust her completely with our dogs! She really creates individual training plans for your dog specifically! After we completed our training we had 2 very well changed dogs both in public at bars, brewery’s or walking down busy street and off leash in nature. We can’t thank Sam enough!

Samantha is the best dog teacher we have ever had and I say teacher because she teaches us and our dogs. We have 3 yo choc lab and 5 yo golden retreiver that she helped us with impulse control, leash manners and off leash recall. We split our time up in Oregon near the columbia river and want them to be safe off leash. We did the day training 1x week for 4 weeks and it accomplished our goals with them. Plus we have exercises, videos and she is available for support and questions always. She truely has a special talent to communicate with all dogs and I was amazed what she is able to do for all dogs I see her work with. I feel like I do not have to look any further for another dog trainer because she will always be available for support for all our training needs! I only wish we would have found her sooner!

Sam is an actual angel on earth. We sent our rescue puppy to Adventure Dog Training for three weeks for a board and train while we were out of town and my husband and I are both in complete awe of our girl’s progress. Her leash skills? Impeccable!! She walks right by my side like the goodest girl without any tugs or marking. Her off leash skills? Amazing! To be able to trust an 8-month old puppy off leash is something I thought I’d never be able to do, and now her recall is incredible and she’s such a well mannered listener! Sam also taught Ari how to go to her “place” which has been a game changer having a busy active household. She also improved her crate comfort, where she now goes into her crate without a whole….adventure lol. She’s also so much better mannered with our two indoor cats. She no longer chases them or harasses them, and also no longer jumps on people. I’m truly amazed what three weeks did for our best gal and our family! Sam is literally SOOO sweet, patient, and also thorough with our post-training appointments to ensure she stays on track. Truly cannot recommend Sam and her training enough!!! She also sent us constant updates with videos and pictures of all Ari’s adventures with her new BFFs.

If you’re on the fence — just book her! She’s worth every penny and more for a lifetime of love and respect from your dog 🙂

If there was a higher rating than 5 stars, I would readily give it to Samantha Lee/ Adventure Dog Training! We chose her 3-week board and train program for our 5-month-old golden retriever and could not be more pleased! Samantha is knowledgeable, experienced, and professional in every way.
It has been many years since my husband and I owned a dog, let alone a brand-new puppy! We had a good start with potty training and night-time crate training, but we needed assistance with “loose-leash” walks, public manners, off-leash recall, and confidence building. Samantha far exceeded our expectations in every area. Training at this level is an “investment” and the value we received was worth every penny!
From early on, Samantha explained our options, the benefits of training, and what to expect. During the process, we received numerous updates, notes, and pictures of her progress. She responded quickly to any questions that we had…. and I had a LOT of questions! ?
Toward the end and at pick-up, my husband and I participated in the “owner-training” sessions to equip us with the knowledge and tools to reinforce with consistency the excellent foundation that had been built. I appreciate Samantha’s patience and sense of humor in all of our interactions.
Going forward I look forward to using Samantha’s boarding services when available, as I’m sure “Little Ann” will enjoy seeing her favorite teacher again!

When we brought Buddy to Samantha we were feeling so overwhelmed by having a puppy in the house after 17 years! Sam gave us all the tools we needed to take an energetic puppy into one who is given limits, but also an opportunity to play.

We can't speak highly enough of Adventure Dog! We entrusted our two doodles to Samantha for a three-week board and train, with a focus on public manners and recall, as we take our dogs everywhere from coffee shops to backpacking. Prior to their training with Samantha, they definitely pushed a lot of boundaries, but now we're incredibly proud of their respectful interactions with other humans and their improved behavior in public settings. Samantha's expertise and dedication were evident throughout their stay. Our dogs returned home noticeably more confident and well-behaved. Throughout the process, Samantha provided regular updates and pictures, which not only reassured us but also made the time apart easier. Additionally, she has been incredibly responsive with any questions we've had since bringing our doods home. The improved recall has made our outdoor activities much less stressful, knowing that they have the confidence in their training. Samantha Lee is the best trainer in the business! We signed up and completed two of her Fitness classes and my dog and I both loved them! They were fun, challenging and got both of us thinking. She does a great job keeping everyone safe and adjusted a few of the drills for my older dog. It’s been a while since we have been students, but we can’t wait to take part in another class!
