I traveled to Cairo, Egypt in October 2024. The trip was extraordinary. My only problem was miscommunication, mostly about accommodations, so I'll get that out of the way first. However, things worked out for the good, and the trip was wonderful. The accommodations were great, the food was always plentiful and delicious, the tour guides were knowledgeable and gracious, and our drivers were quite skillful with navigating Egypt's erratic traffic.

We visited the pyramids, the Sphinx, a Nubian village, cruised up and down the Nile River, went on a sunrise hot air balloon ride, rode a camel, visited many museums, ancient temples/mosques, and learned so much history from our learned tour guides.

When you go to Egypt, take plenty of small bills, especially $1 bills for buying souvenirs and tipping. Everyone wants a tip! 🤑 It was a beautiful experience, and everyone was prompt, efficient and courteous.

We had a small group of 4 amazing people. We met on the trip and bonded so well that we decided to go on another adventure with African Travelers next year, this time to Tanzania.

I utilized Africa Travellers for a tour of Egypt. I arrived in Cairo at 1:00am, the greeter was there at the airport and already set up for me to obtain my Visa, I was out of the airport within 5 minutes, then I had a smooth transition to the hotel. The hotel greeter met me at the hotel to welcome me and get me to my room for a good night sleep. The next day the tours began. All the tour guides, greeters and drivers were courteous and on time for each tour, the tours were very well planned. I had an awesome time visiting the pyramids, tombs, cruise down the Nile, balloon excursion, camel riding and sail boating, etc., this trip did not disappoint. I traveled alone on the trip but met three amazing people who were also traveling alone, we plan on traveling together in the future and using Africa Travellers for our next tour. I recommend Africa Travevllers if you are looking for a great tour company, where the tour is full of excitement and engagement. You won’t regret using this company. I want to thank all the tour guides, drivers and greeters for assuring I had an amazing experience and thank you Daniel for putting together such a great tour experience. I highly recommend Africa Travellers for your Africa traveling needs.

I am very pleased to report that Africa Travellers did a fantastic job. The trip was well organized. The journey and experience was awesome. Our tour guide, Isaac, and his assistant, Benny, the bus drivers Joseph and Michael were very warm,
accommodating and patient. Transparency by Africa
Travellers was of utmost importance as we knew what to expect ahead of our journey. A minor setback was tourists not adhering to the guidelines and time frames for shopping. If not followed, you could be late for your tours, lunches and hotel check-ins. You may even spend more for shopping than needed.

My husband and I really enjoyed the trip to Tanzania. Our guide was very informative and knew a lot about animals on our safari. The guide was also very patient, getting us from Lodge to Lodge. The whole experience was very beautiful, and culturally enriching. The Tanzanian food was delicious... And I got the opportunity to take a picture with one of the chefs, which was really great.

Arriving at Zanzibar Island was exciting, as well as
educational and informative. We found the island very ancient and beautiful. we found out so much more about what our ancestors went through during the time they were being captured for enslavement. We also went to the spice farm..We got the opportunity to cook some Tanzanian food. It was so much to learn and know on the trip. Daniel and Phyllis were very helpful in making sure we had everything before we began the trip. It was great seeing some of the beauties of Africa and being near to the Indian Sea. The trip to Tanzania has truly been a dream come true. Africa Travelers helped make our dreams come true.

I attended the May 2024 Ghana Tour through Africa Travellers, and as an avid international traveler with extensive solo, group, and military travel experience, I must say this tour exceeded my expectations. This was my first lengthy tour where I trusted someone to handle my accommodations, activities, and transportation, and I was extremely pleased with how well everything was organized and executed. They were committed to our comfort from start to finish. Any small complaint or request was met with immediate urgency and resolve.

I first came across Daniel through an online travel group. I had always wanted to travel to Africa but never had real information on how to execute that. Daniel spoke to me and patiently answered every question while I hemmed and hawed for months until I felt comfortable that it wasn't a scam and was a legit tour company. I took a chance and finally booked the tour as a birthday trip to myself. I ended up having to push my date out six months due to unexpected childcare strains. Daniel and Phyllis worked with me even though they didn’t have to.

The tour was meticulously planned, and the tour manager demonstrated exceptional knowledge about Ghana. His time management skills were impeccable, ensuring we made the most of each day. Our bus driver navigated the roads impressively, and the tour aide was always attentive to our needs. The photographer captured beautiful moments, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience without worrying about missing a shot. He made sure to videotape or capture each of us during every activity.

We were treated to a hot breakfast every morning without fail at all four hotel stays. Each day, we enjoyed at least two activities, providing a rich cultural experience. Our itinerary included significant cultural sites like the Kente Museum, where we saw how Kente cloth is made. We later stamped Adinkra symbols. I felt a strong connection to the Sankofa symbol (always return to your roots). Visiting two slave dungeons/castles and the Slave River was a moving, life-changing experience. We also explored local markets in both Accra and Kumasi, adding to the authenticity of our experience.

The tour involved substantial travel within Ghana: Accra-Kumasi-Cape Coast-Accra. Despite the extensive travel, everything was well-coordinated, making the journey smooth and enjoyable. We enjoyed the countryside and dense vegetation. I spent the time journaling, videotaping, and posting my experiences on FB. I have T-mobile and had service everywhere no matter what.

Safety was a priority throughout the tour. As someone well-traveled, I felt particularly reassured by the presence of our local guides who spoke the language and had extensive experience conducting tours. The guides also assisted with market negotiations, ensuring we received fair prices and enhancing our overall experience. They flanked us on both ends, so we never had to worry about feeling unprotected, even though we felt completely safe there.

Our accommodations were comfortable, with newer beds and onsite restaurants that offered a variety of fresh and delicious food daily. I particularly enjoyed trying new dishes such as ampesi, boiled plantains, and fufu. My favorite dishes were red red with fish and bean stew in Accra and Kumasi, and groundnut soup and crepes (pancakes) in the Cape Coast. The hospitality of the Ghanaian people, coupled with the efforts of the tour staff, made every meal and stay enjoyable. The people are hardworking, kind, soft-spoken, and resilient.

In conclusion, this tour provided an enriching look at Ghanaian culture. The professionalism and dedication of Africa Travellers were evident in every aspect of the tour. I am so impressed that I plan to get my dual residency, purchase land, and return with my entire family next October for a family reunion. I highly recommend Africa Travellers for anyone looking to explore Ghana in a meaningful and well-organized way.

I have traveled extensively throughout the world, and this tour has been the most impactful and memorable I've ever taken.
Every site that we visited was meaningful and purposeful. I learned more about African and African American history in these 8 days than I have in any college course. The local guides at each site were knowledgeable, articulate, informative and capable of answering multiple questions.
While we did face a few unexpected challenges, which were immediately remediated by Isaac, I view the entire tour as a learning experience that has provided valuable insights about African and African American history that I continue to share with family and friend since returning home. These challenges we faced should be viewed as a growth opportunity, guiding toward better strategies for Africa Travellers in the future and NOT as opportunities to make false and negative comments that benefit no one.
I felt extremely safe during the visit. I was greeted at the airport upon my arrival and taken to the airport for my departure. At all times we were escorted by either Bennie, the photographer or Raby, an assistant, except, of course, if we decided to go to a local restaurant for dinner. The bus driver was an excellent driver and kept the van at a desirable temperature at all times and provided music when requested.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone who desires to be educated and inspired by cultural experiences that you've only read about. This will be an experience I will never forget.

Traveling to Ghana with Africa Travellers was fantastic. It was an educational journey for us and Africa Travellers ensured we had the best educational experience. We were able to send time in Accra , Kumasi and Elmina. Our tour guides were very informative and caring. We will definitely travel with Africa Travellers in the future.
