We got married at Alcove by Madtree and had such a great time and experience. Both coordinators we worked with, Alyssa & Carrie, were amazing: Very patient & helpful before the event and the day of, and extremely nice, so as the rest of the staff ! We did both our ceremony and reception at Alcove and used the cocktail room during the room flipping. It was extremely convenient for our guests who were mostly coming from out of town. With the girls, we got ready at Alcove in the bridal suite and enjoyed the delicious brunch during the day. The tables were set by the Alcove Staff, so as the amazing desert table. We worked with F&Goode for the deserts, recommended by Alcove (except our wedding cake - home made) & Josh Jackson as our DJ, also recommended by Alcove.

Our daughter was married in December of 2024 and we had her service and reception at the Alcove. From the very first time we contacted them about having our event there they were so helpful, friendly and accommodating! The space was beautiful! Our day of coordinator was so very helpful and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and met every one of our needs. We had 150 guests and they arranged all of the tables beautifully and it was not crowded feeling. The bar was perfectly attended and the food was the best we have ever had at a wedding reception! All in all it was a wonderful experience and we would recommend them whole heartedly!!

the wedding I attended at Alcove last night was the BEST wedding I have ever attended. The space is gorgeous, high ceiling, tall windows, white plaster walls: very earthy/minimalist. And of course there is the famous fern chandelier: a huge arrangement of potted ferns suspended from the ceiling. Very attractive. The vibe of the wedding I attended fit beautifully with the space: unfussy, sophisticated. The food and the meal service were absolutely flawless. Its been a long time since I have experienced such excellent service. Lastly there was an AMAZING DJ that made it the most fun wedding I have attended. Great music, great DJ patter. EVERYBODY danced. I mean every body. EVERY BODY really celebrated. In that respect felt kind of like new years eve. If anyone asked my about a wedding venue in cincinnati, I would say Alcove. But know that it isn't a country club vibe, or a fancy hotel "event space." You can make it your own space, your own vibe. I think the factors that could make this a great space for any kind formal/informal event because you can make it what you want it to be. Thanks to all Alcove staff for making this such a perfect celebration.

Recently had my wedding here.

The experience was so difficult. We paid and no one had reached out to us. We had to reach out to the venue and we had our first coordinator Alyssa, then she was replaced by Alex and then she was replaced Alyse. We had to re-explain everything to each new person. Most of them did not know the answers to the questions I was asking and had to go and ask management.

When going for our tasting we were not told about the cheaper options and they only had us taste the most expensive food. I had to ask if there was anything cheaper and not as fancy because I know most of the food would not be eaten by our guests.

When I came for my rehearsal I was told by an employee to go into the cocktail area. I walked in on a wedding... I was so mad and went back and reiterated that I was there for a rehearsal and not a wedding. As the bride I was so embarrassed to have walked in on someone elses event while I was in full white.

When my wedding was going on I requested the doors be locked. They were not locked and during our dinner they let a man with shorts, a t-shirt, and a ball cap into our wedding. We had no clue who he was. He walked in yelling obscenities things and went straight to the bar. My friends and family had to get him out of the venue.

I would recommend the alcove for the looks but not the service. I mean they literally let a wedding crasher in and made the process more difficult than it needed to be. Luckily our vendors were amazing and I counted on my Dj for everything. He was more help than the entire venue and I paid him $10,000 less than I paid Madtree.

We had our wedding in the Loft and Gathering Rooms at Alcove by Madtree and would highly recommend! Alyssa and Carrie were awesome in helping us throughout the planning process. Our wedding had ~100 people and the space felt perfect. We were even able to have a separate sitting/cocktail table area in the upstairs loft. Their staff did an excellent job throughout the day and with a big room flip during our cocktail hour. We loved all of the Loft Room's natural light and greenery, and both made for beautiful pictures. Guests really enjoyed the food & drinks, as well as the overall atmosphere. Thank you Alcove!

Cincinnati Opera held one of our events in The Loft at Alcove and I can't recommend the space and staff enough! We will absolutely be back, especially after a smooth lead-up to the event with clear communication and use of one of the coolest spaces in OTR. If you have the opportunity to hold an event in this space, don't pass it up- you won't regret it!

Our wedding day was perfect in large part due to the work of Carrie & the team at Alcove. As others have mentioned, Carrie was an amazing partner to have in helping guide us through the planning process in the months leading up to the wedding. On the day of, we did not have to worry about a thing because the staff at Alcove had it covered (from the bartenders to the wait staff to Carrie). Everyone was so helpful and made our day feel so special. Beyond this, the space is beautiful, the food is top-notch, and the beer is always good. We could not recommend this place enough!

Loved having an event here! We had our rehearsal dinner in the Gathering Room in early August. Carrie helped us through the entire process and made it completely stress free. The food was amazing, the drinks were awesome and everyone had a great time. The room is decorated so well that we didn't have to bring in anything additional. Having the parking lot in the back was so convenient as well.
