My husband Ryan and I cannot say enough about Alison and Bryan. Not only did they flawlessly execute our vision and create our dream wedding, but they are also truly the most wonderful people and we are lucky to call them friends for life 🙂

We were so fortunate that A+B moved to Santa Barbara right before we got engaged. A friend introduced us and we knew immediately that they were the right fit. They are so easygoing, creative and fun, yet also the most detail oriented and organized people you will ever meet. We live in San Francisco and could only visit our venue (Belmond El Encanto) a few times but A+B made it so easy and kept us on track from afar with video chats, shared schedules and budgets.

With the design, I had likes and dislikes but Alison really helped me hone in on my vision and bring it to life in a way that we never could have imagined. She helped us create a cohesive and personal "brand" that carried from the invitations, florals and menus to the cocktail napkins, photo booth backdrop and welcome boxes. They liaised with our other vendors leading up to the big day and everything was seamless.

A+B created the dreamiest coastal garden dinner party for us and designed a dramatic canopy of twinkling lights that illuminated our two long dinner tables around the lily pond - truly magical!

We would trust Alison and Bryan with any event and want to plan a vow renewal just so we can work with them again. The worst part about our wedding being over was not getting to chat with A+B everyday!

Alison and Bryan are the best! When we got engaged multiple people suggested that we look into getting a wedding coordinator, but I wasn't initially sold on the idea. I had a lot of things that I had wanted to do myself, and I felt like I could handle planning a wedding on my own. I am SO happy that we found VLD, and decided to work with them throughout the wedding planning process, it was seriously one of the best decisions we made!

Alison has great taste and tons of helpful suggestions for wedding vendors. Every one of our vendors was amazing and we found them all through VLD's recommendations. With their help we were able to plan a wedding that was unique and personal, and had a lot of fun throughout the process! Alison and Bryan kept us on track and helped us know what needed to get done when, and were able to help us turn our ideas for the day into a reality.

On our wedding day both my husband and I, as well as our bridal party and families were able to relax and enjoy the entire day because we fully trusted that Alison and Bryan had it all under control. It was the best day ever and a huge part of that is thanks to them!

I would give VLD more than five stars if Google allowed me to. We worked with VLD in designing our wedding and they also did day-of coordination for us. Alison and Bryan are an absolute joy to work with not only because they are fantastic people, but also because they are the best at what they do--they are detail-oriented, well-organized, and extraordinarily creative. They kept us on schedule with every last detail that wedding planning requires and came up with interesting and innovative ideas for our wedding design that we would have never thought of on our own. They genuinely want to create the perfect event for their clients and for each event to be unique. I couldn't imagine working with a more wonderful team! They are creative and organizational geniuses (this is not an exaggeration), and absolutely delightful to work with! Alison and Bryan are INCREDIBLY talented, responsive, and professional. They helped me seamlessly plan a Michigan wedding from New York, despite my own hectic schedule and limited availability to visit to the wedding venue. Alison's taste is impeccable (beyond! -- seriously, she has the best taste in the business and recommends only the most talented vendors), and she and Bryan have an astute business sense that really shines when it comes time to make difficult financial decisions during the planning process.

It also doesn't hurt that Alison and Bryan are warm, kind, funny, and all-around awesome human beings! I really adore Alison and now consider her a dear friend. Despite the fact that planning a wedding can be stressful, I smiled through most of it and was just extremely happy and grateful to have VLD on my side!

Basically, if you want to have the wedding you envision, but fifty times better with almost none of the stress, do yourself a favor and work with VLD!!!

Alison and Bryan are so great at what they do. I have no experience planning events and asked so many questions and often relied on their expertise-- my trust in them was more than rewarded. Our wedding went off without a hitch (or rather, if there was an issue we still don't know about it).

Your wedding is a big deal, and having these two by your side will undoubtedly be the best choice you make. No lie: I booked Bryan and Alison as my very first vendor, with a tentative window for our wedding date. Yes, even before the date or venue we had these two on our side. They helped us to understand where to allocate our budget based on what was important to us, but also on what standard costs would be for given quality. They recommended the most amazing vendors and coordinated all of them on the day of. It literally rained on my wedding day, and they dealt with all of it. I never had to wonder if something was going wrong or if there were issues.

Bonus if you're planning a wedding specifically: you get a bomb-ass example of a strong married couple working as a team who are helping you to start your own marriage. Now that is pretty cool.

Bryan and Alison of VLD Events are the perfect wedding planners. We had our wedding back in Michigan in September 2016. We live in California, so it was a challenge to plan our wedding from 2,000+ miles away, but Bryan and Alison made planning our wedding so easy.
