Aloft NYC Financial district is located on Ann Street, moments away from Wall Street and the financial institutions. The hotel is equally about half an hour from both EWR and JFK with a taxi and about an hour with public transport. The hotel, within a few minutes, walks to the NY subway system and is close to shopping, restaurants, and downtown sightseeing. The hotel has a nice lobby with a pantry and food ordering station as well as seating areas. At the back of the lobby is a bar and a small business centre area. On the lower level is the gym and a small conference room. The rooms are small but well planned with both business and leisure travellers in mind. Overall, it is a good hotel for business travel to New York.

First, let me say, as a frequent traveler, if I’m being honest—Aloft is not my favorite brand. That said, I was impressed by this property.

Your staff was awesome!! The man at the front desk was knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming and efficient for my check in and when I stopped at the front desk during my stay.

The room was clean and housekeeping did a very good job. They even replaced my bottle of water daily which I can’t say the same for some of your more luxurious properties where I have to stop at front desk and beg for a water. Great job to the staff at this property! 👏👏👏

FYI: Rooms are smaller but that’s typical for NYC but even with the size the room was clean, efficient and comfortable.

Lastly, location is great! Super close to multiple subway lines, great restaurants and bars. Kudos to NYC too, it’s nice to see downtown becoming a livelier place than in years past when I lived in the city.

After a disappointing stay at a different hotel the night before, I decided to give Aloft a try for the remainder of my time in New York, and it was hands down the best decision I made. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for. Valiesha, at the front desk, truly went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant experience. Not only did she make sure I had everything I needed, but she also made my birthday weekend even more special by adding thoughtful touches that made me feel celebrated.

The entire team at Aloft really made me feel at home, and I can't thank them enough for turning my trip around. If you’re looking for a hotel that offers great service, comfort, and a little extra care, Aloft is the place to stay. I will definitely be back!

Amazing customer service! And the bartender Nicole is the best. So attentive and kind. She’s the sweetest ever. Was able to work at the bar throughout the day and Everyone here is great. Definitely coming back the next time I have a trip. The rooms are super clean and well taken care of.

This is the smallest room I’ve ever encountered, even for Manhattan. While the space is clean, its size can feel quite suffocating and disheartening. The rooms are also very dark. There are a total of four light fixtures in the room with the main one being a light over a vanity and a sink. This makes a room appear even smaller and depressing. If your only purpose for being here is to sleep, it might work for you; however, it’s not suitable for anything beyond that.

The hotel is located on a narrow, unkempt street, and despite its convenient location, the surroundings are quite off-putting. Unfortunately, the front desk staff was not very welcoming either. When I inquired about the $150 authorization on my credit card, given that my company had prepaid for the room, I was told that most other hotels charge $800-900 for incidentals per day. This claim is simply inaccurate, as I frequently travel to Manhattan and have never encountered such charges. The response felt condescending and dismissive. I will not be returning to this hotel.
Update- I am changing my rating to three stars for three reasons:
The bed is comfortable
The shower is pleasant
The night attendant has some empathy and is super nice- in contrast to one who was there in the evening.

When my fiancee and I checked in, we were greeted by Felicia. She was absolutely sweet and very welcoming. She even provided a welcoming gift upon arrival. The room itself was clean and the bed was super comfortable. We got a great nights sleep. Even though we were not in Times Square, the location couldn’t be more convenient. It was easy to get to everywhere we needed to get to. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and be hopefully greeted by Felicia again 🙂

I had a great time here. The staff was very attentive to my needs. In particular Ms. January who was friendly and respectful greeted me with a warm smile at check in. She ensured me that my room request were satisfied. I had no worries. The location is in a great spot with alot of fun surprises all in walking distances. It also has a in house bar with recreational things to do. Price was reasonable for a stay at this hotel and location.

The hotel staff is amazing here, Especially Alex! And the rooms are always nice and clean and very comfortable. I love the location it’s just a quick hop on over to the subway. I will definitely be returning to the Aloft Manhattan on Ann Street!
