If you’re thinking about booking this tour DO IT! It was a great experience from start to finish! Joel is very personable, knowledgeable and gave just the right amount of humor needed! My mother and I took the Georgetown Loop RR Tour. We were provided with a pick up from our condo, a train ride, shopping in Georgetown, a delicious picnic and numerous mountain/lake visits with just jaw dropping views. We’re already planning our next tour with the rest of the family. I highly recommended touring with Alpenglow, you won’t be disappointed!

What a great experience! From being picked up at our doorstep to being taken on an outstanding adventure. Joel was our guide and was very helpful with suggestions and all the points of interest along the way. We took the Georgetown Loop RR, which is a wonderful old steam engine, up to Silver Plume then stopped at the Lebanon Silver Mine on the way back. Well worth a visit!

Really enjoyed our trip on the Zephyr train. Joel picked us up at our hotel and the adventure began. A very nice drive to Granby over Ute pass. Beautiful scenery and a very knowledgeable guide along the way. Our train was delayed (gotta love Amtrak) but instead of just leaving us at the station, Joel took us up to Grand Lake and other areas around Granby and gave us a very delightful tour. The train ride through some of the most beautiful canyons in Colorado was breathtaking. Joel picked us up in Glenwood Springs and the ride back to Dillon was just as informative and interesting as the morning journey. I'm sure you could do the trip on your own, but the headaches of leaving your car in Granby and figuring out how to pick it up again and getting back to your hotel would constitute just too much planning on my part. The door-to-door service and great commentary and fun provided by Joel made this a memorable experience, and one that I would highly recommend.

My extended family and I (5 adults (2 in 70s) and 5 children 3-11) enjoyed the Georgetown Loop 4 hour tour. We got to visit the Continental Divide 11,990 feet above sea level. We had a comfortable van ride up to the train station and back to Frisco, CO. We made stops in Georgetown to walk along the quaint shops, bought souvenirs, and had some tasty sandwiches from Annie’s. Joel was our guide, and he gave us a bunch of interesting trivia about the areas we traveled and was very friendly and helpful. He also took some great photos of the families on the tour. I would highly recommend this excursion as part of your Colorado trip. Fun for the whole family!

Joel provided an incredibly personalized and detailed tour! My husband and I took this tour as part of our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. We loved the Georgetown Loop train, and spending time in Georgetown was amazing! Joel even gave us a once in a lifetime surprise in Georgetown- no spoilers though! I would highly recommend this tour!

Joel is the man! Extremely knowledgeable about the area and the door to door service is amazing. He took us to the Georgetown railroad loop and the BEST BBQ I have ever had in my life. I highly recomend him to anyone that wants a legitimate and amazing tour of the rockies.
