Incredible experience - very empowering.

My mom and I took a quick trip to the Hudson Valley and while searching for a hiking guide prior to the trip, I came across Alpine Endeavors info. After speaking with Marty, I booked a half a day hike during my stay.

Both my mom and I are in shape however we are not hikers - aside from walking on paths through the woods, etc.

We did a few of our own hikes (walks) at Minnewaska, so Marty took us to Mohonk Mountain House - where we hiked the labyrinth and the lemon squeeze. This is not something that I would have ever thought I could have done (my mom felt the same). It was a totally new and unique experience. Marty was super patient and empathetic since we were new to this type of hiking. He guided us and helped us at every step.

Additionally, Marty is a walking institution for the Hudson Valley - so knowledgeable about the entire area - knows everything about hiking / rock climbing. Just a super good guy all around.

This trip was incredibly memorable, exhilarating and very empowering for both my mom and myself.

Alpine Endeavors provided us a guide on the Via Ferrata at Mohonk. This was our first time ever doing a via ferrata and it was one of the best experiences that my husband and I have ever had. We will never forget it! The guide was exceptional in directing us and keeping us safe. It is very challenging and not for the faint of heart. A good knowledge base of rock climbing techniques, upper body strength and not having a strong fear of heights is key. We will definitely be back!!!

Decided to check alpine endeavors for 4 day private lessons in July and it’s was a life changing experience. Marty and Simon were my guides (Marty for day 1 and Simon 2,3and 4). Both were amazing guides, they were very understanding and gave me a very thorough, detailed introduction to outdoor rock climbing, safety and risk measures. Simon, who I spent most of the days with, was a fantastic guide, a very easy going dude to talk to. He introduced me to single pitch and multi pitch climbing, rappelling, how to build anchors for both multi pitch and top rope situations and many more crucial skills. Definitely looking forward to taking more private lessons with AE and Simon as a guide. Highly recommend Alpine Endeavors!

We had such a good time with our guide Jennifer! We have only done indoor climbing and this was our first time climbing outdoors. Jennifer made us so comfortable and took us on some challenging (but still beginner friendly) routes. It was so thrilling and fun. Would definitely recommend and would go again!

Alpine Endeavors knocked it out of the park for our company retreat! The hiking and rock climbing day they put together was awesome - challenging but super fun. Our guides were great, always making sure we were safe but still pushing ourselves. The views were incredible and even the more outdoorsy folks in our group were impressed. Everyone in our team was talking about it for days after. If you're looking for a team-building activity that's way better than the usual boring stuff, definitely check these guys out!

I’ve taken several clinics with Alpine Adventures and each outing has been a great experience. Marty and his guides (Jon comes to mind right away) make sure everything runs smoothly/safely, offer solid advice/tips and are very friendly. Total professionals.
