Ok. I changed it from a 2 star to a 3 star cuz I really like y'all but I'm pouting right now. Lol. I drive a semi truck and have been coming here for years. I booked a hotel room for tonight and when I got here, I found the truck lot is now closed!! I spent over half an hour on the phone being told I needed to get a parking pass, then transferred back and forth to get said parking pass just to be told there was nowhere for me to park and my reservation had to be canceled. This was so frustrating. Will there be other parking arrangements for trucks in the future? The rooms are awesome, I love the Sports Bar and Bistro and have really gotten to know and enjoy the staff at both. Ameristar was in my top 3 places in the Midwest to stop. I know people dropped their trailers and left them, which ruins it for the rest of us. Maybe open the lot back up and have drivers get passes while there? I really don't want to go to other adult arcades in the area; I'll have to start all over. This is saddening.

Hotel was nice. But my mattress was well used. When laying close to the edge you felt like you were going to roll out of bed. Very soft side. Also we ate at the sports book restaurant and my Ruben was excellent but everything else was not good.

We stayed in a whirlpool king suite. Room was clean and comfortable. There was a faint smell of cigarette smoke. It was stronger in the hallway and lobby, but tolerable in the room.

Whirlpool was very comfortable and filled fast. Plenty large enough for two people. We also liked the copious towels.

Remote didn't work properly (numbers didn't work), but I'm sure we could've gotten a replacement if we cared to ask.

Dual sink was also very nice.

Very disappointed with the poor upkeep of the boat. Was there tonight. Took the escalator to the lower level. I notice the elevator was STILL out of order which it has been for MONTHS! When we were leaving, the escalator up was not running. Because of this the only way to the main floor to get off the boat was the the broken escalator. How are elderly people, people with walkers, wheelchairs, heart issues, etc supposed to walk up those steep, non-moving stairs?
The bathrooms on the boat are another problem. Half the time the automatic faucets won't turn on no matter how much or where a person "waves" their hands. Then there's the issue of the toilets. One toilet flushes, another gurgles. Tonight, I went in a stall & I first had to flush the, which shouldn't be necessary considering they are automatic. Then I waited for sometime waiting for it to stop the gurgling because no way was I going to sit down to have toilet water splashed on my fanny. It never did so I left & went to a bathroom on another level. That bathroom also had the gurgling toilets but I lucked out & the stall I chose wasn't gurgling.
As much money as they take in, Ameristar should be able to make repairs & in a timely manner and keep things in good, working order! Pathetic!!

Absolutely perfect days get away. Enjoyed the entire experience as always. We've chosen time n time again to stay at Ameristar and have yet to be disappointed, except for losing $ at casino. That's gambling tho. Excellent service, speedy reservations, and friendly service. We can't wait for our next return. Ty

First time staying here, it was amazing. The rooms were so clean I was so surprised but very much enjoyed and appreciated that. The staff at the front desk was amazing and extremely helpful. The food was absolutely wonderful and the casino was very nice as well. All we played was slots but really enjoyed it. Staff was very good with filling drinks and the liquor options were great as well. We will definitely be going back. Price was very good also made it completely worth the 2 hour drive.

In my opinion, yes, Ameristar is somewhat dated, but it’s my favorite place to go in Gamble. Just as important is the hotel. 1.) Clean, very comfortable beds and climate control.2) The doors of your hotel room are heavy and one gets a feeling of safety behind that door. It’s not a rickety flimsy door.3) I play blackjack, Roulette and Dj wild. The dealers are kind, respectful, and are committed to giving you the best service possible. The pit bosses are welcoming, and as long as you understand, they have a job to do, you’ll be fine.3) Dining options. I’m a member of club. It is excellent. One of the best perks you will ever receive. I’ve been to the other local casinos, including the new ones, and Ameristar is the best. Sure, if you look, you’ll find something to complain about. Like every other business on earth. But haven’t spent the majority of my professional career in food service management, I’m not easy to please and I’ll let you know. But, I will also let you know, as I am doing now What I considered to be value for my money. I’ll take Ameristar every day of the week at any hour of the day. I feel as though they look out for me. Including Security .

We had a Wonderful Time getting away and just relaxing, enjoying Great Food at both the 1853 Bistro & Bar as well as the Amerisports Bar. The Service was Professional and Friendly, all the way from the Front Desk Hostess to the Food Servers, Bartenders and the Rewards Host's. When we come to Council bluffs we Prefer staying at Ameristar its where we feel Lucky!
