Cathy did a fantastic job on our Catalina wedding! Our wedding was on the larger side, and she handled it beautifully! It’s not easy wrangling 220 people, especially when the ceremony and reception are in separate locations, but she helped to get everyone where they needed to be in an efficient manner.

She was a wealth of information during the planning process and helped us to save money when we really needed to.

Highly recommend!!!

Cathy is an amazing person to work with! We recently toured Catalina Island as a possible wedding destination, and she was very familiar the city of Avalon and knew someone every corner we turned. We decided on another destination but Catalina is an amazing island and Cathy is the perfect person to coordinate your wedding there!

We hired Catherine Machado for "day of coordinator" for our wedding at Descanso Beach on 8/26/17.
Come ceremony time, she ushered out the groom and bridal party. Music is playing...I'm about to walk down the aisle with my Father...I look down the aisle and to my astonishment I do not see our officiant, Reverend Mark...I ask her calmly "Where is the Reverend?" He is no where to be seen. She runs off on the phone. All our guests are staring at my Father and I wondering why we are not walking down the aisle, we have no one to wed us.
She did not check to make sure the officiant was on site or present before ushering my Father and I down the aisle.

We asked her to leave after.

As I told Catherine, anything else could have gone wrong this evening and not be a big deal. But this is the worst possible thing that could happen at a wedding, beside a fatality. My demeanor went from pure bliss to stressed the rest of the evening as I worked with the staff to ensure the night went appropriately.

I trusted her with the most important day of my life, and she ruined it.
