After an hour and half of waiting for my pizza I called the restaurant with complaint, since the last time that happened I got my food cold and got sick of my stomach. The manager forced me to take my food because I wouldn’t get a refund told me I would get store credit for my next order. 45 minutes later I found out that they ended up giving my pizza to a different person because the receipt had someone else’s name ( their fault), disregarding the instructions to where to drop it off and they didn’t even bother calling me (their fault). I called the restaurant and the manager tells me that I would have to use the credit I was given earlier that day if I wanted another pizza and I told them that’s not fair because I paid for my order and never got it, and it was their fault because they never called me and the receipt had another’s person name. So next thing the manager told me was: Well next time tell your co-workers you’re waiting for a pizza and that next time (You don’t have to eat here at Anna’s ) and that I won’t get a refund and they hang up on my face!! So after 12 long hours at work I had to go home starving and humiliated when I was being extra nice to this people and they literally stole my money and I never got my food instead I got hung up on my face. Everything about this restaurant is wrong and management and the owner need to be held accountable.

PD: I have always get my food cold and even one time got sick of the stomach!! And the nerve to tell me to go buy somewhere else and not Anna’s it’s out of the line. I have spent so much money the past 5 years for this people and gave them chances after chances after getting my food cold mad times and after their 45 minutes wait turns into an hour and half or better every single time!!

If I can rate this -5 I would!!

I am very saddened and disappointed with the customer service I received tonight. My delivery took over an hour for one but I was still patiently waiting. I get my food and give the elderly driver a generous tip. I sit down to eat and this is what I open the box too. Not only that the pizza is not made the way I ordered it. I call them to let them know and was treated very nastily! The woman was very rude and nonchalant and was almost laughing that I spent my hard earned money on slop! I placed a delivery order for a reason and she insisted I come pick up another pizza because the drivers supposedly left for the evening! Like look at it, would any of you eat this? Its uncooked as well. I will never in my life order from here again nor will my friends and family!!

Yea, hard no on this place. Looks like a cool little spot that was always busy. Service was good at first then they vanished until my calzone appeared almost 30 minutes later. I went with Anna’s Calzone and whoever made it achieved the Taco Bell of Calzone award for placing all fillings on one half, then the cheese on the other. Pretty much like Taco Bell lazily does it. They’re very proud of the product from the prices.

The calzone looked beautiful when it arrived but the sausage, hamburger and other filling were flavorless. Not even the sauce helped on the side. There’s two tables in here and my soda was empty. Server came over and asked if I needed more napkins How about a drink to get the taste out of my mouth.

I ordered 2 pizzas for delivery. Delivery time was supposed to be between 6:45pm-6:55pm. At 7:15pm I call inquiring about my order. After a 5 minute hold I'm told someone would be there in 10 minutes. At 7:40pm the driver calls and says she has been driving for 15 minutes and can't find my house(we have ordered delivery from here for years). She finally gets here at 7:45 and ask US to come to the car and get the order. Once we get it the pizza is cold. We called the restaurant and asked for the manager and they tell us to call back in an hour because he wasn't there. We called back and Peter who said he was the owner was so rude. We told him what happened and he said “why are you just calling now”? We explained that we did call earlier and your staff told us to call back because you weren't available. He stated he had been there all evening and no one told him anything. Regardless I told him I would like a discount for the cold pizza and long wait. This man only liked to argue because all he heard was pizza and said it was to late to make another one and his drivers were gone. There was a lot of back and forth. Bottom line, he was rude and clearly was not going to accommodate my request. I will be disputing the charges with my credit card We have gone here for over 10 years and that ends TONIGHT. Unfortunately, I read the complaints here on Google afterwards and see I am not alone. Peter was very aggressive for no reason, reminds me of someone with early onset Dementia/Alzheimers's. His family might want to get him checked out!

Our pizza was ordered 2 days prior for scheduled delivery. Approximately 45 minutes. We were told it would be on its way. When the pizza arrived it was cold. A call was made back to the establishment anyone made aware that the pizza was cold. They offered to deliver a new one which was done but also requested the old one back. About an hour later we realized they call it came from The Establishment and we returned that call. Spoke with a gentleman who was absolutely rude on the phone because he couldn't understand why the pizza was sent back and we explained once again that it was cold.. the individual then stated that he no longer wanted us to purchase from his establishment and hung up the phone on us. We have been ordering from this establishment for years now and it's unfortunate on their behalf that we will no longer be supporting them.

I saw the owner act very inappropriately towards a guest. The owner asked the guest about the food and the guest apparently said something the owner didn't like, so he got all up in the guest's face and personal space, like right up against them. You could tell the guest was almost shocked yet very uncomfortable with the owner's behavior.

The food my friend and I had was terrible as well, but after that encounter, I wasn't going to waste my time with this guy.

Anna's used to be good. The quality of the soups and sandwiches has taken a severe nose dive the past few years and the owner seems to get defensive and all up in your face if you say something. I'll never go back to this place.

I’ve ordered there numerous times and they have always been great! Delivery time is accurate or better than they have said, and pizzas are excellent! Did have an error on my last order but they made it right so that makes them great on all levels in my book! Will certainly order again!

Been ordering from this restaurant for about 20 years and although the food has gotten increasingly worse, we continued to give them a chance. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back. We ordered wings, a large pizza and a chicken salad. The delivery came very fast and we soon determined why. The pizza was grossly undercooked and the salad looked as if it had been out for days. Chicken was old, dry, stringy, rubbery and bland, lettuce was very wilted and wet in places, and brown in others, and there were old, poisonous tasting mushrooms in there. We called back to voice our concerns and the first thing they said was, "well, no one else has ever complained ". I find that very hard to believe but regardless if no one else has, it's your job to listen to my complaint and work to make it better. They didn't. I will never patron this restaurant again and the food is sub par...worse than sub par, and Anna's Restaurant and Pizza of East Hartford should be ashamed of themselves. I do not recommend them to anyone. Find somewhere else to go and don't make the same mistake we did by spending our hard earned money to support this restaurant who does not care about the quality of their food, their customers and hence the community.
