Wonderful Park, was lucky enough to see a Coyote right at the entrance. The visitor centre itself had wonderfully helpful members of staff and a small exhibition to show how the park came to form, there was even a short movie to watch. Various trails were pointed out by rangers and maps were provided free of charge(donations were welcomed). Short drives to each route, reason for 4 stars is because the actual routes were not brilliantly signposted, this was likely to keep the natural aesthetic.

We just needed a couple of days off the grid. We were thrilled to find such an amazing State Park that was only a couple of hours away.
Breathtaking views, endless trails to hike, beautiful & quiet natural surroundings abound.

Self pay parking, almost can't see it - due to its excellent architecture. Much information to be gained from self read placards and friendly rangers to assist all your needs. Nice self walk garden tours for all the plants species around.

This park is definitely worth a visit, even though it may be overshadowed by the proximity of Joshua Tree National Park, Anza-Borrego offers a distinct desert ecosystem and stunning badlands views. Would recommend.

Awesome park with a lot of amazing desert and mountain scenery! Love the trails, and flower blooms. Great metal art along the freeway as well. Would definitely recommend visiting, especially during super bloom! It can get a bit crowded, but well worth it.

Stunning! Visited in the first week of April. Saw the flowers in Henderson canyon though most of the verbena were being chewed up by the caterpillars. But the cactii were starting to bloom. We were there only for a day and did not have a 4wd so couldn't see a lot of it but whatever we could was beautiful. I wanted to see desert lilies and saw so many! I've not seen so many different types of wildflowers and this place was full of them. I'll definitely visit again to see the sights that I missed this time with more time and a better vehicle. Oasis hike was also great.

Very helpful and friendly staff! They let us know what are the best spots, how to go there, and if the roads are 2WD friendly or not. They also have events very frequently! (Scavenger hunt, group hikes, shooting star viewings). I recommend looking them up or calling beforehand to plan around them.

If you're camping and checked in already, no need to buy a ticket for the parking!
