If you want to enjoy your event, stay away from this place. Your music will definitely be overlapping with the music of others next door. If there’s another event going on. You will only be hearing the music from your next door renter. You will not get back your funds if your event is canceled for whatever reason, not a penny. Let’s say you encounter an emergency or something unexpected that may interferes with planning your event, but you asked this place to hold on while you figure if you could move your even date to the nearest, they will give out your date without even contacting you to ask if you’ve decide to move your date or not. Then when you ask for your deposit or whatever amount you’ve paid to them, they will refuse. Like, you didn’t even contact me before giving my day out, (after making payment for that specific date), but you are refusing to refund me! Do NOT take your event to this place, if you don’t wanna be caught up in mess! They are too desperate for money. DO NOT CARRY YOUR EVENT HERE!

She took my money and gave my day to someone and refused to pay atleast half back or let me have my event for the day I choose from the very beginning. She said she don't do refund and she won't let me keep my day when I never canceled with her in the first place. She kept my money and now we have to go to court for it. Don't book this hall. She's not a good business women.

Zero recommended this place, it is the worst place you can choose for your event. The place has all kinds of defects and when you try to fix those things with the owner he only makes excuses and scams you in the worst way. I'm very serious, this place is a scam!!!

Due to the weather we had to find a place for the party a day before. So we called this man and he showed us the place, which is not very nice to say and the worst thing is that it came out a very strong smell of urine from the toilets. but it seems that we did not have another option, he said that we had to give him half the money and the other half the next day, so we gave him $400. The next day a friend told us we could do the party in his garage so call the man to ask how we could arrange it since I was not going to use the place obviously paying $800 for a place was out of my budget and I also knew that most likely, he would keep some of the money obviously. but what was my surprise that he did not want to return any of the money so he ended up keeping the $400.

This is clearly an old warehouse , separated only by man made walls. The bathrooms are a bit of joke see picture below.

A mixed up led our rented area to be taken by someone else.

When talked to the person who was in the building they where dumbfounded. Not a good look for whoever or whatever manages this place.

We used this space for our wedding. I loved the venue itself upon looking at it for less then 15 minutes. When our wedding day came we walked into the cleaning lady still there cleaning up throw up and stuff from the previous party the day before so we were behind automatically. We used her linen which she said would be washed and ready for us but it was not so she said well why don't you use the white linen instead? Simply because it was not part of our color scheme for our wedding. Also there were so many nats in the kitchen we had to keep the doors open for some time and it was horrible because we brought our own food. There were mice running around as well. We tried to contact her regarding the issues and she would not contact us back. I wouldn't use this place again.

If you are in the Des Moines area looking for a place to have your wedding and/or reception, perhaps a birthday party or anniversary party look no further then Lotus Moments.
Beautiful Hardwood floors, perfect lighting for any occasion, plenty of bathrooms.
The owners are wonderful people as are the staff.

Good place to have an event. Went to a wedding reception here. Only thing that wasn't great, was that they made us stay outside until the exact time the event was supposed to start. There wasn't anything else going on before hand.
