Quaint restaurant in the city. Great food, great service. All the people were very nice whom we came into contact with. I was observing the patrons as they came in...seemed like mostly groups of 'Regulars' who were feasting in the booths and while others came in, ordered take out, who also seemed like 'Regulars' as well (Firefighters).
Nice little restaurant. Simple, clean, and great service. Would definitely come again!

Food was great! Decor definitely needs some help. Staff was wonderful but took forever to get our food. Don't come when you're actually hungry.. come when you think you'll be hungry in an hour. Place gets really packed around 11 at least on the Saturday we were there.

We ate here two days in a row! That shows that the food was excellent! Servers are pleasant and very attentive. The coffee could improve as it tastes a little burnt. Cheap but tasty! Will definitely come back here!

I used to come here often years ago and loved it. My most recent visit was not that same experience. I'm almost certain there were shells in my eggs. The service was friendly but just okay. She had to be reminded to bring out portions of the meal a few times. The food was just okay. While they were busy, I think there was room for feasible improvement.

not my favorite. which isn’t to say it’s bad, just not my favorite. it was pretty bland. i ordered the big breakfast. for some reason, my potatoes taste like floral soap. the bacon was salty and i had to put a few of them in the oven to cook longer. we also got over-medium eggs, which came over-hard. my pancakes had melted the container and i had styrofoam stuck to the bottom of them. images of my food are attached. i was charged a lot more than what their menu states. for the price i paid, i don’t think the food was worth it and am not sure if i would order from here again.

My mom and I stopped here for breakfast, and were so pleased with our experience. Service was wonderful, food was delicious. I especially loved the homefries/potato and my mom loved her corned beef and French toast. If I lived in the area, I would return!

It's divisive - you'll either love it or hate it.

Dining in at Ashley's is a bit like if Jack Bauer were on Cheers.

The atmosphere is fast-paced and a little chaotic but with the hometown feeling of familiarity. The food is nothing extraordinary, standard American breakfast - it's a diner but it doesn't seem to front itself as anything more than what it is. As an out-of-towner I get the immediate impression it's a neighborhood favorite, but if you're a tourist - you may be expecting something very different from a highly rated diner in the heart of Hartford. I see a lot of negative reviews that mention customer service - I recon this has to do with expectations. Don't expect full table service - this is a quick-order place that honestly doesn't really do table service. If you need something you gotta just not be shy and ask, you just can't expect table service.

Very small on the inside, a handful of booths and a bar to sit at (no alcohol on the menu). The staff is incredibly hard working and it clearly giving it everything they've got - I was there on a server's first day but he still killed it. (I see you white buzz-cut man!)

Only four stars because cleanliness is something to be desired - the kitchen is open and quite clean, my utensils were delivered in hot water and the chef wore gloves zd but the staff has never seen a mask at the height of a global pandemic. :/

The food was really good, they literally have the best corned beef hash I've had in a while. I'll definitely be coming back here.
