Biggest mistake of my career after 12 years in practice. It seemed like a good move—seemed to make sense that AI could fill in the forms, submit/resubmit etc. No one at Athelas is a biller. They’re all computer people and there is a nuance to billing. Multiple times I had panic attacks because they didn’t even understand Medicare billing and I was convinced they were going to make me lose my Medicare number. Forget about PPO billing. Useless. “Account managers” changed so many times. For the first time in my career I’m in financial debt. Don’t be like me—AI is not the way. My stress level is lifted having been out of their contract for a week with a knowledgeable biller. (I went back to who I was with previously.) I left because of what my previous biller was charging. But I’d rather pay more and receive more with someone who knows what they are doing. I had to question every bill Athelas gave to a patient—and I’m not a biller. I just happen to know Medicare rules. They sold me the sun and lollipops. So much confidence in the beginning. When I and my staff had weekly billing meetings with them—it was clear they had no idea. And they had the gall to charge me when I was teaching them how to bill for Medicare. They didn’t even understand that Medicare is the bell weather. Don’t fall for it. Maybe someday they’ll learn, but today is not the day.

Backing up other negative reviews. Do not fall for it. There's no such thing is AI in billing. The worst billing company for medical practices. They do not do any appeals. They skip alot of claims without going back to them. Your income will drop significantly compared to in-house billing.

This company is pretty amazing!! They monitor my blood pressure because it had been running high and my primary care recommended I participate. Stacey, my nurse, calls me once a month to see if there is anything I need or if I have any questions.
Overall, this company is professional and very supportive. Stacey is kind, considerate, & caring.

My Primary Care Physician signed me up with a Athelas because of a blood pressure issue that I am being treated for. This awesome company has had technicians that have been monitoring my blood pressure since I started the program several weeks ago. Last week Tessa, from a Athelas called to inquire if I had any questions or needed any help with my monitoring, and she genuinely seemed so cordial and caring. She let me know that if I ever had questions that I can feel free to call her at any time. Athelas is doing a fantastic job and I highly recommend their service.

My entire experience with Athelas has been top of the line. Knowing my readings are sent to my doctor right away has a positive impact on me. I know I can call or text anytime is reassuring. The nurses are more than helpful, they care. I wish everyone could be part of this family nationwide. I receive healthcare from Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester MN in the Internal Medicine department from Dr. Kenderian. I would love to have my blood sugar tests monitored this way also.

If I could give them negative stars, I happily would. My insurance paid for a blood pressure device that would send results straight to my doc. How cool, I thought, except I kept getting errors, probably because the cuff was too small. I called, and they sent me another cuff very quickly. Yay, I thought, until I tried to use it and realized the new cuff was not compatible with my machine. I got on the phone again (or emailed, I don't remember) and they said they would send a new machine, that my machine, which I'd had only a few months was an old machine. That was Fall 20221. It is now going into Summer 2022, and despite further contact, I still have no working machine.

They contacted me stating a provider I haven't been with in months signed me up for a free blood pressure monitoring device. I responded that I was no longer with that provider and wasn't interested whatsoever in the program. They continued to message me that my device was on it's way. Again I responded it wasn't necessary, to remove me from the program, and to stop contacting me. Again they CONTINUED to message me daily and even wasted their time and money to send me the device. Then I've STILL been getting daily texts from them reminding me to get a reading. I finally snapped and went off on them today and they actually had me fill out a survey on their service! I did that with pleasure letting them know very clearly how much of a pain they've been. Poor customer management.

Athelas is very responsive with monitoring blood pressure or hypertension. You will get a call! Helps keep people engaged in their health conditions. Experienced nurses will answer your questions. Don’t be annoyed if they call you. They want to reach you and see how you are doing.
