This review is for Merchant's Alley only. Very small and short walk but decorated beautifully with unique paintings! Hometown of Brittany Howard (Alabama Shakes lead singer) If you know kindness rocks (rocks painted with characters or uplifting messages) they can be found here most times. Check out the mural and open all the doors for a beautiful surprise!

If you have 10 or 15 minutes to spare, this unique mural display in Merchants Alley near the courthouse square is worth it! We had not previously experienced the concept of having to open doors to view murals. This stop on the North Alabama Mural Trail is a nice, interesting concept. #NorthALMurals

Love going to the free Friday evening concerts in the alley set up by Athens main street! Great entertainment in a fun environment which is part of the entertainment district
