Hello everyone,

We found out the day before yesterday that we were also moved from deck 10 to deck 5 without being informed. We noticed it by chance.

After a complaint that we do not accept it, we got a standard bla bla bla, the best thing is that some friends are affected and all got another excuse!!!

We were called yesterday by Atlantis in response to our complaint so they basically just tell us the same thing as in the email.
The excuse is that Virgine claims about 40 cabins for themselves.
One wonders how it can be that when Atlantis charters a ship and enters into a contract, which also costs a lot of money, that they then have to give up cabins shortly before the trip?
Well, previously it was said that the medical facilities were defective.

The worst thing is the arrogance and matter-of-factness with which they try to get rid of customers! Like the statement "You can cancel free of charge"
According to the motto you don't need it, there are enough others who would pay 5000 dollars for a cabin under the disco.

They forget that we also do business and are business people and not just some package tourists who can simply be turned away!

They underestimate the consequences and instead of working on a solution, they just keep saying the same thing over and over again.

We will now escalate the issue and are in talks with travel providers such as Globetrotter but also with LBGTQ magazines such as Manschaft and similar.

We hope that others will join in so that something like this cannot simply be swept under the carpet.

My husband and I are about to leave on our 5th cruise with Atlantis (including one with RSVP). We have also been on a resort trip with Atlantis as well. We always enjoy their product. It is a great mix of people - all ages, singles, couples, partiers, those taking a more leisurely approach and cruisers from around the world. My only real complaint is the consistently weak customer service from Atlantis. On this upcoming cruise it has taken the form of a changed itinerary, which is common and even to be expected. What is unhelpful is that this change has been unfolding in the background for several weeks resulting in many cruisers having made plans that could not be changed. Luckily, we did not do that. Atlantis could be more communicative but they choose not to do so. Now, we are left waiting until the week before the cruise for our port transfer assignments because we booked that service through Atlantis. Again, it could be done another way. They just don't measure up unless perhaps you are cruising in a Suite. I'll post an update after the cruise.

Update: We are awaiting our flight at FCO. The cruise overall was very good. Atlantis does know how to show you a good time. Ben, the new cruise director is great great great! It was nice to see Johnny again. The surprise guest Years and Years was fantastic. That was a very nice surprise. Royal Caribbean was a bit less satisfying. Not as attentive as I recall and absolutely everything is overpriced on the ship. Still, a very good time. I recommend Atlantis Events.

Some of the shows are great, but they repeat the same artists on almost every cruise.

There is very little variety - granted, some shows like Mrs Richfield and La Voix are great, but that Kathy Griffin was a nightmare of a show. The worst ive ever seen anywhere!

Kathy puts on the lamest show you can imagine - just a collection of name dropping, bitterness and simply not funny - not sure why Rich keeps bringing her back, thats puzzling - shes terrible, total has been and not worth seeing her

Also, their tipping policy of forcing tips, when no other cruise company does that, really pushes the price unnecesarily high - to me it feels like greed - cmon!!!

Just returned from Atlantis Resort DR - Playa Esmeralda. Property, food, rooms were wonderful. - thank you Club Med. Atlantis was not.
First, I believed the carelessly written descriptions of the rooms from the Atlantis events website. Should have known better since the room descriptions are almost identical and seem to be written by an intern - tropical breezes flowing through your suite with decor evoking a paradise, etc. Every class of room described this way. Additional false advertising includes underquoting prices on dinner and excursions. Atlantis staff were oblivious to this.
I arrived at 3:30PM. My room was incorrect. it took four hours of arguments with Atlantis staff who promised me they would "make it right" after assigning me several tiny rooms with twin beds before I had an acceptable room.
On to the stay. Again, the property was wonderful. The Atlantis experience is stereotypical, dated, and caricaturish - staff running around in women's clothing, sexualized "pool games" the 70s disco party featuring ABBA, hackneyed drag and piano bar entertainment. Several bartenders were homophobic and hateful
There are much better experiences for your hard earned money, but if you are trapped in a stereotypical gay lifestyle, go for it.

First of all let me say that we really had a great time, so if you want the short version: Yes this is an awesome experience, go buy your ticket!
We went on the 10 day Mediterranean cruise in august 2022 aboard the "Odyssey of the Seas" cruise ship, which is to my knowledge one of the larger of cruise ships with around 4000 guests i think.
I would roughly estimate that 75% of all guest were Americans, and the remaining 25% were mainly European, so this means pretty much everyone on the ship spoke english.

We were traveling five people (my boyfriend and I plus three friends). We chose two rooms, both with a balcony. The room for three people was 7437 dollars. The room for two people was 5958 dollars. The rooms were identical (which is fair of course that you pay more for an extra person).
It was difficult to see anything about prices onboard or what exactly could be expected to be included. It does say on the web page that "Things that are not included are few and far between".
This statement is in my opinion far from reality, and might be what annoyed me the most about AtlantisEvents. Lacking/misleading information! So for this reason i did a small list on some of the things that are included and some of the things that are not.

Included:
> Great food at several restaurants with changing menus and perfect service pretty much all trough the day without any need for reservations.
> Lemonade, coffee, water, and juice at the above mentioned restaurants.
> Entertainment in the form of shows and great parties every day.
> Your room with twice daily cleaning.

Not included:
> Specialty restaurants aboard the ship (like a sushi place, a steakhouse, etc.).
> Soft drinks like coke, fanta, etc. (~4 dollars)
> All alcoholic beverages like beer (~10-12 dollars), wine (~13-17 dollars), drinks(~15 dollars). You can buy drinks tickets that gets the price down to 12 dollars.
You are not allowed to bring alcohol or soft drinks aboard the ship with the exception of two bottles of wine/champagne (not hard liquor) per room.
> Excursions off-ship (~150 dollars, although very varying prices here)
> All beverages including water, outside of the designated cafes/restaurants.
> Photographs taken by photographers on board (20 dollars for one print or digital copy, a little cheaper in bulk but will require you to spend 150-300 dollars)
> Wifi or chat systems on board the ship.

The above means that unless you dont drink alcohol you will definitely need to bring your wallet. Personally i can say that my boyfriend and I spent around 2000 dollars on the ship. Im okay with prices being whatever they may be, but i disaprove of the lack of information regarding all of the above.

The Royal Caribbean has an app to use on board. This is completely useless! And by all means do not buy the chat package in the app, it didnt function properly and was just a waste of money. The app in general is meant for you to see what's going on at the ship, but it is not updated with the shows etc. It is just really hopeless and would need a total revamp to be of any use, but you will need to download it anyway as you get your boarding pass there and upload covid-info etc.

I may have underlined a lot of the bad things about our cruise, but this is just so you know what you are getting into. Overall, my feelings towards AtlantisEvents are positive and i also want to state what makes the AtlantisEvents Cruise great: The parties (lots of them!), nice restaurants wtih all the food you could dream of, new city almost every day, perfect service (i mean really good, all of the staff are just amazing), and open people/guests (you'll make a ton of new friends 🙂

So to sum up: There is room for improvement when it comes to the available information. But i will still give Atlantisevents 5 stars because we really had a great time and you can feel that they do a lot to give you value for your money. Just expect to spend a lot of it 😉

Recently took a cruise with Atlantis. It was one of the best times of my life. I swam with dolphins, beach excursion in Puerto Vallarta and the food onboard was amazing. Every day there was huge party. I will definitely be cruising with Atlantis again.

We are so happy with Atlantis Events and all the cruises we have been on. Every cruise is special. The positive energy is incredible. Some of my most romantic moments have been on an Atlantis cruise.
Go on one, you will love it.

Atlantis Events and the cruise line offered contradictory COVID testing requirements. This confused hundreds of their guest who were subsequently sent to pharmacies that didn’t offer Covid tests to get COVID test despite the fact that the cruise line was offering COVID tests at check in. Budget several hundred dollars to deal with Atlantis’s staff’s incompetence if you book with them.
