First off this location is off a beaten path road that has probably 200 junk cars in RVs on it to look at on your drive up the Jacuzzi in the Cherokee suite Literally less than halfway filled up with hot water before it went ice cold There is no shower, so good luck bathing if you’re staying multiple days, the oven barely worked. There was no handle on the outside to actually open it. There was a old busted pop machine right by The charcoal grill Outside the bed could use upgraded. There was only a small two seater loveseat so seating was not very accommodating the dining room table the chairs were super wobbly so if you are a bigger person, they are not usable. This was our first time staying at this cabin company and will be going back to getaway cabins.

To start absolutely zero communication from host when asked 3 separate time thru email for information on cabin
Could not stay the second night. The bed was hard as rock box spring did not fit frame so everything you move bed makes noise and wakes you. The dining room chair was so wobbly you could not use. The jacuzzi tub shoots water at walls from jets. The stove had no heat resistant glass or handle on oven (could not use that either) I will never stay or refer anyone to these cabins. This place seems to be ran by slum lords
I believe that all travel sites remove Avenwood cabins from their sites. DO NOT STAY HERE

Overall a wonderful place to stay. |Shower small but that is cabin life. Cabin and whole place very well maintained and cleaned. |We did enjoy our stay. Quiet. Cozy. Has fireplace|We had campfire a few times. Enjoyed the hot tub after hiking in Hocking Hills. (great state park!) |

Great place to stay, but not good communication... not enough hot water for jacuzzi tub either. Hot tub was great tho, out on the porch. Stove needed new burners. Pans wouldn't lay flat, but it did work. We just love the location. Cabins are different for each one.

My husband and I stayed in the whippoorwill cabin we loved how quiet it was and it was a great place. However the bedroom got very hot and I had to go buy a fan because I couldn’t sleep. I think it would be helpful if they had a ceiling fan in the room. The couch/love seat was very very small and wasn’t comfortable. I also noticed there was no knifes or anything to cut with so again I was going to have to buy one. Other than those few things we really enjoyed ourselves and we would go back we would just take some certain items with us.

My husband & I stayed 3 nights at Eagle’s Nest for our anniversary getaway. We had a wonderful, relaxing time. Brittany was very helpful and we appreciated her being available anytime we reached out to her. The cabin was clean and nicely secluded. The hot tub was by far the nicest part of the experience! I would easily have given this cabin 5 stars if it weren’t for just a few minor details, which I hope the owners take into consideration and take care of soon. The shower door does not shut completely & there’s no shelf at all in the shower for soaps/shampoos. Having to open the shower door to access these things from the sink top unavoidably led to water on the floor. There really needs to be steps to get into the amazing hot tub. The fridge/freezer needs a good cleaning. And as comfortable as the bed was, you lost that feeling with the very old, flat pillows. But aside from these minor details, the cabin itself was very nice and we would gladly visit it again.

The Buckeye Hut was amazing. It was cute and secluded but close enough to restaurants and several hiking trails both in Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest. It was beautiful. I would only say that the WiFi and WiFi password for this cabin were incorrect but I found the router in the bedroom closet and was able to connect with no problems as the name and password are right on it.

My husband and I had the pleasure of Staying at the Whippoorwill for our honeymoon. It was absolutely amazing! Secluded, quiet, clean, and BEAUTIFUL! I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews about this cabin, but there is literally nothing wrong with it. The hot tub is a little older but it was very clean and not slimy at all! Was amazing to soak after hiking 8 miles in Hocking Hills State park. Super cute fire pit out back with stairs for easy access. We stayed 2 nights and I’m sad to go home! Internet worked perfect no lag issues at all. The best part is sitting out on the back deck in the morning with a nice cup of coffee listening to all the song birds! We can’t wait to come back next year with our kiddos! Thank you colonels quarters for the most perfect honeymoon! Also treat yourself to a burger from “The Feed” about 20 mins from the cabin. You won’t be disappointed!!
