Bethany did a great job handling my daughters wedding. Her team was very professional and detailed throughout the entire planning process. We planned the entire event through emails and phone calls, because we were coming from out of town. The day of the event went perfectly. Bethany and her team kept track of all of the other vendors and made sure that that everything went according to schedule so that we could enjoy the event. They were attentive to all of our needs, while staying in the background. It made my daughter's wedding a joyous occasion to be remembered forever.

This post is long overdue but here it is. I work at a local venue in NWA and had the pleasure of working with Bethany and her awesome team. They were kind, professional, and treated my team and I with respect and sincerity!

You could see and feel the level of experience and professionalism they brought to the table and we enjoyed collaborating with them.

As someone who works at a venue and sees wedding planners often…TRUST me when I share that not all are created equal. I have worked with less than desirable people who look down at both my team and myself(sadly). As I too am a professional I say nothing just do not recommend than to any of my clients. This is not the case with BJEvents.

If you want an EXTREMELY ORGANIZED and DETAILED professional who works well with others and understand that KINDESS IS FREE!

First and foremost I’m not here to bash but everyone experience is completely different and I feel it’s necessary to share mine.
To all the brides that BJE successfully helped make their dream come true, congratulations!
However, when I came to Bethany clueless all I had was vendors (based on what others were using at my venue of choice and they were tagged several times being used that’s actually how I found her) and a venue. We started out with her asking me questions to brainstorm which did help a lot. I sent some inspiration photos and gave her my Pinterest and explained I wanted modern theme using pampas grass(clean/elegant look) not boho but she kept offering boho theme style and like anything else I had the right to say no I don’t like that being that my fiancé and I be paying for these things which then started to make her feel uncomfortable. Ideally that’s part of working with your client and making the connection to think outside of the box. We proceeded on I asked about plan B rain tent, Design(which required getting quotes so get the best bang for my much) more in depth etc because I felt I was just standing in an empty venue with my vendors just hanging out on wedding day.
Overtime she started to cancel and/or reschedule for later that same day and when the time came she didn’t respond or another day as well ghosting me. She canceled for family events or having over company at our schedule meeting time and also texting one minute before our meeting to tell me she was still with another client.
I tried to fire her back in December and she persuaded me not to and told me she’d show why I chose BJE etc however after following through she started to not stay in the communication loop once again.
I don’t know much about the wedding world so I was looking for something affordable and since I’m not from NWA my contacts were limited so I didn’t know what to do without having to start all over. Fast fwd to April 10, 2024 she was suppose to be meeting with a vendor I found out she never met with. Before going on vacation I texted to see if there was any updates with a vendor-no reply. So I scheduled an appt for April 23 which she texted me an said she couldn’t (if she wasn’t available she should’ve blocked her books off). So we scheduled for April 24th at 430/5p the time came no call, no show, no text so that day I decided I couldn’t do it anymore.
It was crunch time and getting closer. After telling her the only thing she’d had to say was I’ll respond to your email this afternoon.
Her contract I signed stated if the client cancels the deposit is non refundable(which after all the hell that’s happened I felt like I deserved it but at this point I didn’t care to fight for it, and just wanted the contract honored) 90 days prior to wedding full refund will be issued. She first act like she only got one of my payments through square and she had to consult her accountant which my other payments were made via Venmo which I sent proof of and if I could see them so could she. She told me multiple times she’d get in touch with her attorney/accountant regarding the issue. Each time I reached out it was always getting back to me 1-2days later which then turned into another week.
It took me a month to get a refund (until June 19 to be exact) I’m reasonable when life happens but there was no reason to have that bad of communication when running a business and if something isn’t within your scope or comfort it’s okay to tell your client hey I don’t think this is a great fit for me let me refer you to someone that may be a better fit for you style. But to continue to drag me along and you know things aren’t going well it’s like watching you kid stay in a bad/toxic relationship while you beg them to get out of it but they still want to stay because they’ve never broke up with someone before (in this case she stated she hadn’t had this happen in her 5years of planning so she didn’t want to throw in the towel even though she knew it wasn’t working ).
The so call vendor was a past client ? but go ahead typical argumentive BJane

Bethany and her team are absolutely the best! Wedding planning can be very stressful, but Bethany made it clear that she not only understands the stressors that brides/grooms have to face, but also has a plan to keep everything running smoothly. She is very organized, very professional, very open minded, and was very eager to tackle any vision we had about our wedding day. Hiring Bethany was honestly the BEST decision we made along our wedding planning journey.

Genuinely, our wedding day went more seamlessly than I ever dreamed possible, and I am confident that the main reason for that was because of Bethany and her team.

If I had to do it again, I would ABSOLUTELY make sure Bethany was my planner! ?
