Our family of 11 celebrated my 80th Birthday with Balloon America. It was an incredible experience and one we will remember forever. Captain Ron was wonderful and added to the fun of our experience. He made us feel comfortable right from the beginning (as we had a couple of apprehensive daughters) and we ALL thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was better than I ever hoped for. Our flight was perfect as well as our take off and landing. I didn't realize it was going to be so smooth! Our little reception/party after the flight was relaxing and fun. We loved the personalized video and pictures we received as well. I would highly recommend Hot Air Ballooning to anyone. It's a thrill of a life time. 03-24-19 I was part of a group of 8 who enjoyed the ride today. Ron, our captain, was very informative, and gave us a really special flight. At one point, we were about 5000 feet above the ground with a really great view of Tucson and surroundings. We started out flying westward, and using the lower jet stream were able to return to the same field where we started. This was my 4th flight with Ron, and every one has been different and an extraordinary experience. His ground crew was very helpful and professional. Can't wait for my next flight!

My five sisters and I enjoyed a hot air balloon ride together during a family visit to Tucson in February. This was a first for all of us! I did my research ahead of time and selected Capn. Ron based on the reviews and the east side location, flying out of Mariposa Resort near the Catalina and Rincon Mountains. I was not disappointed.
Ron was great at communicating with me in advance. We arrived to the sight of his ENORMOUS yellow balloon and his crew, all prepared for the flight. He was a professional at flying the balloon and videotaping the experience with his drone. After a super soft landing in an empty corral, and a short shuttle back to the resort, we had a very pleasant time sipping champagne and chatting about his flight experiences. I was also pleased that the video and photos he took were complementary, sent to me soon after the flight. Very highly recommend Capn. Ron and Balloon America.

You Get What You Pay For -- And More!

I am not in the habit of spending this much on experiences, but I was so persuaded by the fantastic website, describing the obvious commitment to safety and luxury that I went for the private balloon ride as a birthday gift for my husband. It was everything I hoped for and more. Captain Ron was great at communicating by text before the ride, rescheduling when unfavorable weather made it necessary to postpone our ride. Once there, he immediately put me and my husband -- a first-time balloon rider scared of heights -- at ease with warmth and humor and plenty of explanation about what would happen and how the experience would go. The flight was smooth, the views spectacular. We saw the sun coming up over the Santa Catalina mountains, and could see all the way to Mexico. Later we hovered over palo verde trees and cactus, watching deer and bunnies scamper through desert brush. We landed smoothly on a dusty back road and people came out of their houses to greet us, so excited by the sight of the balloon. Afterward Captain Ron popped a champagne bottle with a saber (must be seen to be believed) and served up mimosas and told entertaining stories of past flights. He sent us on our way with gift certificates to a local favorite restaurant for breakfast and days later delivered photos of us in flight as well as a masterful drone video of our ride. Worth. Every. Penny.
