Myself and my mum stayed at the Bayside for 2 nights.
The room was clean and had everything we needed for the short stay. The location was good, within walking distance of Santa Monica Pier (about 10-15 minutes). We felt safe as we were located on the 1st floor and had a garden facing room. To access them you had to go through a locked gate using your key card. I’m not sure if we’d have felt safe in we were on the ground floor facing into the main road as your room would lead directly on to the road.
There were quite a few homeless people across the street (on the green) and a few on the main road but they were mainly sleeping everyone passed.
The hotel staff were nice but quiet.
If you’re looking for a good breakfast spot then Dogtown Coffee was brilliant and around a 2 minute walk from Bayside.
Overall it was a nice stay and we’d probably come back if staying in Santa Monica again but might choose something bigger if staying for longer as this place felt more like a motel.

A nice and quiet place to stay if you want to experience Venice Beach. The beach is really right next door. You can walk to the Santa Monica pier. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. The parking lot behind the house has a smaller capacity, but you can park in front right on the street.

I had a quick layover in LA, and the front desk staff was really friendly. The room is surprisingly spacious for this price range, and it even has a kitchen. The bathroom is spotless, and I’m really happy with my stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The pillows were super soft and the desk staff were very polite. We were able to keep our vehicle in the private parking lot after we checked out so we could walk along the beach. Thank you!

Absolutely LOVED this hotel. It was the first good night sleep for our group after Burning Man. Central location but the rooms were quiet, spacious, clean and comfortable.
Robert and the Aussie guy at reception were both delightful! Thank you for having us!

They’re under evacuation and won’t give us a refund. This leaves us with 2 options - put us in harms way, or lose $200. They’re disgusting and if they don’t process our refund we will take legal action.

Arrived early and was able to check in and get our room immediately! Had booked a garden view room and was pleasantly surprised to get a room with an ocean as well as garden view! Room was super clean. Cute little kitchenette and a small sit out with views of the beach and ocean. Quite spacious with a king bed. The beach towels and beach bag were a lovely surprise. Great location. Wonderful customer service, overall a wonderful experience. Will definitely be coming back again!
