After a long first out of nine day trek across the country, this place was the perfect budget haven to have a solid nights sleep- in fact, I’m unsure why, but the bed in this simple stay gave me one of the best nights sleep I had to have had in weeks.

Nothing ritzy, a retired former Motel 6. Simple furniture, simple amenities, right at the heart of the redwoods- right at the lip of the coast. Safe and clean place to rest in between adventures- all I look for on long trips- so if that’s all you’re looking for, this is your spot. Right next to a coffee spot, right off the main road. No icky surprises. Hot water that lasts.

A+ budget stay

My husband and I stayed here with our dog and had a great one night stay! There is a small pet fee, but I think it was only $10 or $20.

Rooms were clean, updated, comfortable and had a fridge, microwave and AC. Comfy bed, pillows and a hot shower - not much else you need. I tried the coffee at reception, decent enough for filter coffee - creamer was there too. There was a bit of noise with the window open, but difficult to hear road noise if the window was closed. AC was kinda loud, but didn’t impact my sleep at all.

The staff are really lovely, super friendly and seem ready to help if you have any issues. They are in the process of updating a lot of things like exterior painting and a new sign just went up, it’s looking really great!

There is a delicious Thai place next door if you’re looking for something close for dinner too. Breakfast isn’t included and we brought our own, so I’m unsure about any recommendations nearby. It’s in a great location for visiting trees of mystery.

Some updates like blinds and earplugs would be a nice addition but otherwise, it was great and I’ll definitely recommend it to people I know coming to the area!

Upon check-in last night, front desk agent was very nice and cordial. Rooms were surprisingly clean and they smelled fresh. No breakfast though. But the best mom and pop motel my wife and I have been in, in quite a long time. The owners are so nice and humbling.

Eric was phenomenally helpful, with suggestions on food(the great Thai place behind the motel) also with travel advice. I am driving from Canada to mexico and he gave me some great advice on things/places to see.
The rooms were very clean, the bed was very comfortable, I am 6,5 and 365 lbs and i slept like a baby. Everything you would expect from a motel but better. No breakfast(for the price this makes sense) but the coffee was good. If I ever come through here again I will definitely be staying here, and recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Crescent City.

The motel is clean and spacious. Pet friendly and very busy, but the soundproofing is good. The room was very big and with all the necessary items. The price was really good for the service, and the person in the reception was very nice.

Room had huge puddle of water on the floor when I checked in. There was no hot water for the shower or sink. The hard flooring makes it so that the upstairs neighbors walking around is incredibly loud. Roadway is very loud too.

We stayed here for one night with my two corgis. I wasn't happy at first when I found out that the doggy area was across the street but it turned out to be just fine. It's really close. The field is filled with green grass and everyone picked up their dogs poop. I preferred it over a field full of foxtails like most doggy areas. I had no problems taking my dogs for a long walk at 6am at the park down the street and for last call at 9pm at the filed across the street. Our room looked just like the pics online. We stayed in room 122. It was a huge room with a comfy king bed. The mini fridge was pretty big and the ac unit helped drown out the street noise. The staff were super nice and we were able to park right in front of our room at around 8pm on a Thursday. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is a great place to stay when visiting the redwoods. It is at the end of the city so it has quick access to the highway to get to the redwoods quicker. Room was clean and updated. Every room has a mini fridge and microwave and they also offer dog rooms at an affordable price. The floor is laminate so there wasn’t a funny smell that you typically get from hotels with carpet. I will definitely stay here again when in the area.
