This is an average room, but the location is fantastic. The bed was on the firmer side, and only one blanket was provided, but there is AC and heat in the room. Mini fridge and small microwave are provided, but no in-room coffee (luckily Ideal Cafe is just down the block). This is a great option if you aren't looking for an upscale experience and will be happy with a standard hotel room.

Simple, clean, close to the wharf. It’s always hard to tell which small hotels will be nice enough and which are unkept. For the price we were happy. The beds were comfortable, everything smelt clean, spacious, friendly helpful staff, walk to boardwalk.
Cons: Single pane window made it easy to hear outside, no amenities like breakfast. For a bed to sleep in after a day of fun, it was good.

The service here was amazing. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The rooms have everything you need for a short stay. The location is perfect too, just a short walk to the beach and board walk! We also had a nice view of the ocean from our room. Will definitely be staying here again!

First off, the location is very good and the hotel staff we interacted with were polite. I usually don't like to say bad things about small businesses but there were some pretty huge issues with our stay. The bed was very uncomfortable as well as the pillows. The towels were tiny and scratchy and there was no conditioner or other basic amenities aside from a tiny soap bar and a small shampoo. Some of the outlets in our room didn't work and had extremely loose connections. The bathroom sink had no hot water. Also the walls were very thin and we could hear everything our very noisy neighbors were doing. If not for the location, we would have been very unhappy with our stay. It was difficult to even sleep due to how uncomfortable the bed was - our backs are still sore.

The hotel is in the most perfect location. The room was clean and the staff were so sweet and accommodating! It is my new "go to" place!
The only negative thing I could think of was there was no coffee pot in the room. But there are coffee shops just steps away.

Okay, I consider lodging in Santa Cruz outrageously HIGH - even here! But it's certainly less than just about anywhere else within walking distance to the Boardwalk. ||The staff is very nice and accommodating. The motel is short walking distance to the Boardwalk and the wharf. The room was clean and the shower was a nice blast. Hair dryer was provided. ||No coffee. Gratefully, I brought my travel coil to heat water for instant coffee. ||Parking is available, though a little awkward.||Warning: This place is for the healthy! This is not a good option for scooters and wheelchairs or people who have trouble with incline! The motel is on a steep, bumpy hill, and that means the bottom floor. I have a healing ankle right now and had much difficulty with it. Other than that....||If you can accept basic and clean for the location, then you should save yourselves a chunk of money by staying here.

This was a very conveniently located hotel, as well has having some of the most helpful staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Everything about this place is great, along with the proximity to the boardwalk and beach. Take advantage of the parking + a night’s stay by the water. Very military friendly as well.

Young man at the front desk was very nice. I was just a little bummed out at the exterior of the place but it was in an awesome location. I could not see the beach at all but it's a half a block from there to have your feet in the sand. The rooms were decent this pretty basic but the cool thing was the ceilings are tall and they have opening Windows that are pretty large. The towels are super thin and so are their comforters so if you're looking for cushy bath and bed bring your own including lotion,Soap shampoo & conditioner . They only offer 2 tiny dry bars of hand soap & tiny basic shampoo . They were redoing the rooms so it'll be interesting to see what they come up with. Oh yeah it's on a steep hill and there's no elevator so if you're handing up probably not the best place
