We loved our stay at Bear Creek Cabins. Pam personally made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect vacation right down to the smallest details—firewood for our fire pit, long forks for s’mores, even head lamps so we could go explore the nearby gold mine ,Helen was a great vacation destination but my 5 year old granddaughter would have been happy to never leave the resort! She loved the hot tub, games, and hiking right there. We went in December and I wasn’t sure there would be enough to do but between the great accommodations, the Christmas markets, and the Victorian Christmas at Hardman Farm the vacation couldn’t have been better. Can’t wait to go back!

We stayed at the log cabin from 14FEB through 18FEB25. The experience of an actual historic log cabin was great. Inside and outside was picturesque and provided for a really unique stay. Though the close proximity to other structures/cabins in the vicinity was not expected, we truly did enjoy our stay. Close to town and easy access.

We stayed at Bear creek resort and cabins. At first look we were happy with the cabin. But we noticed in each room there was nowhere to put our clothes away or closet space to hang clothes either, no hangers, or a dresser in the rooms upstairs so we had our clothes scattered around everywhere, no iron and no mirror other than a small mirror in the bathroom and a small mirror in the room...only One towel per Person for 6 people for 4 days, I had to ask for more towels and received push back from the owner..also no washer and dryer, no dishwasher or soap to bathe or shampoo or extra toilet paper other than one 1/2 roll in each of the bathrooms when we arrived. We were told to bring toiletries but it's a cabin rental for 700$ a night we should at least have soap to bathe, throw in a shampoo /conditioner and a second toilet paper roll. On our last night we were told we had a 100$ cleaning fee we had to leave on the table for them to clean the cabin at the end of our stay, even paying a cleaning fee We were instructed we must leave the garbage thrown out around front of the entrance of the cabins down the street and that the floors were to be swept and the dishes washed, dried and put away (wow) so as you can imagine we are on vacation and were not expecting to have to do all this during our "vacation". We got chores given lol We aren't planning on coming back. We had a good time in Helen and the outskirts winery's were fantastic but definitely better places with better services to stay at. We didn't feel special or taken care of. We paid alot of money for the time spent here, guests deserve more than just a comfy bed, so I Hope this helps others to make there decisions on where to stay and I hope this review sends some changes to the owners. Those little things go a long way. Thanks

We had a wonderful time in Helen, GA. Stayed at Riverview cabin. Pam is a wonderful host! She meets you when you arrive and makes you feel at home. The cabin has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay again! Be sure and check out Betty's IGA while you are there. Cool store and you might see bear cubs playing in the street!

We had a great vacation at the Riverview lodge in early December! The lodges are located right off the main road where all the attractions and shopping are located. You can bike or walk into town. The loft in our cabin was a very cool/different experience and everything in the lodge was clean and well thought out . They brought us firewood and a lighter for a campfire and ingredients to make s’mores after going in the jacuzzi. My 6 year-old and dog especially enjoyed the nature paths right in the back of the cabin where we hiked to a waterfall and a goldmine. The cabin was equipped with headlamps that we used to explore the mine. My daughter even found some gold. There’s plenty to do nearby including a fun house with arcade, race track, and bounce house inside, the Georgia sky coaster, arts market, the shops & restaurants downtown offering authentic German fare, and horse drawn carriage rides at the Victorian mansion to name a few. We will definitely be back to try another cabin and go tubing down the river.

We stayed in Bear hideaway , up a steep driveway . Nice, private , well lit at night with solar light strings on the drive and deck . Close to everything . We rented a golf cart and enjoyed the Hofbrau restaurant . Hoffer German bakery . Oktoberfest was in full swing and we went to the Fest Haus , had a great time . The hot tub was clean and already heating , nice to relax in before bed. My Corgis enjoyed the fenced in deck . Not much outside as far as a flat space for them to go, but we made do . Hiked to the gold mine and waterfall on a well maintained easier trail .
Beds were comfy , I wasn’t a fan of the shower in the master downstairs . Way too complicated .
Upstairs was nice for our guest , just a simpler rain head shower . Our hosts had great communication and we had a wonderful stay .
If you want to be close to everything with a pet friendly cabin this is for you!

My husband and I rented the Treehouse cabin for a long weekend. The cabin was absolutely amazing. If you don't mind stairs this is a great cabin. The other cabins looked great too. Although we didn't bring our pet we saw lots of pets at the other cabins. And it was a very short walk to town.

The cabin is large, interestingly decorated, and the floor plan allows a sense of privacy. The beds, linens, pillows and towels were all very comfortable and soft. The kitchen is functional but the outside grill needed to be cleaned properly. There is a large front porch and a fire pit area. The misquotes are viscous however. It is in a woods so the exterior does show typical “woods” wear and tear. The location is an easy walk to town even for small children, old dogs, and grandparents. The river is close and a short free tubing ride is available but the walk to do the tubing can be challenging. There is a child friendly area but I would have liked it a little cleaner. The bubble wands were fun for all ages! The incline into the driveway can bottom out your car so be aware. Would hate to do it if there was ice. The rain made it slick and it is on a curve. Pathways for walking through the woods to avoid the curving road is lighted and pretty at night. I would recommend this cabin to friends and family. The owners are also very easy to reach and very welcoming people.
