Some BW hotels are great and some are really really bad. This place was not perfect but it was toward the upper end. Room did not smell and I experienced no critters in my room. This is a family hotel and I was trying to work so was very glad to have a room far away from the pool/atrium area which was very loud with screaming kids | playing games every time I went near it. Room was comfortable though I only had a few working channels on the TV and when I tried to cast from my phone it would not work, so I just watched tv on my tablet all week. Coffee in the lobby was good but coffee in the breakfast area would have been nice as well- breakfast was just okay. No vegetarian choices really other than toast. The attached restaurant/bar is an Old Chicago that has seen better days. It appeared to be a local after work hangout. I ordered a glass of wine (of which there were several choices on the menu) and all they had was one canned wine.

Great stay! Nice size pool not overly crowed which is a plus when you just want to relax. Had ping pong and kids games too! Old Chicago restaurant attached so worked great for dinner without having to get in the car after a long drive!

I stayed here for one night. The location was good, as it was pretty central to everywhere I wanted to go to in Dubuque. I had gotten a room upgrade from a regular king room to a suite upgrade, which was a nice surprise. I didnt utilize the free breakfast, so I don't have comments on that. I would say the downside to this hotel for me was the room location. My room was right next to a set of stairs with a door and also facing the atrium. The walls are thin, so the noise from the pool/atrium would echo all day and all night and I would constantly hear the door from the stairs opening and closing. I was able to sleep through it, however was annoying to hear yelling in the morning while I'm trying to sleep in. One other minor issue I had was that the sheets on my bed were ripped which should've been noticed while making the bed.

The hotel is well laid out: two tiers of rooms around the indoor pool and recreation area, and then four floors in a second wing. Our room was large, clean and comfortable.||It's a perfect place for a family mini-break. We were there during a cold snap, and the pool area was warm and comfortable, filled with playing children and families using the picnic tables and games. If you hate children this is not the place for you; we thought the children were well-behaved and the hotel atmosphere was overall very happy.||There's a cash laundry and a games room. There's ping pong and pool table in the atrium. There's a gym and a mini-store to get food. It's attached to a restaurant and bar. Rooms come with very small shampoo and conditioner bottles, so I would honestly bring your own. Nice soap is provided. Rooms also have a small fridge and a microwave. And the staff are just lovely.||You can smell chlorine in the central area, but if you get a third- or fourth-floor room you'll be isolated from that. All in all a great place to stay and unbeatable for families with kids.

The hotel was fine in terms of comfort of the room, amenities. The front desk was very nice. But I would never stay here again. I knew nothing about this hotel. We booked for a weekend volleyball tournament along with the rest of our team. Almost all of us were in rooms facing the atrium. There was non-stop screaming, yelling and people running up and down the stairs, leaving food on the stairways, blocking the staircases so no one could get up. Our girls had to be at the gym where they played at 7 am so staying up until 11 when the pool closed wasn't an option. I have never experienced anything quite like this and don't wish to again.

Retuned to our room late at night and the room was still dirty!? Had to wait almost an hour for clean towels to be delivered. At check-in was told free breakfast was included with the hours being 7am-10am. Tried to take advantage of the free breakfast and found the restaurant empty! A cleaning lady told us breakfast was 7am-9am!! The room was clean but had very dated furniture and fixtures. A small safe, microwave and small fridge was available as well as an iron and ironing board. Bathroom had a tiny bottle of shampoo and conditioner and soaps and hair dryer but no other amenities. Manager on duty states they don't routinely clean the rooms We asked were we expected to use the same dirty towels all week for our stay Also the indoor pool caused the entire hotel to smell like chlorine. Disappointed and we won't be back.

Not the best of stays we have had. Apparently because we booked through another booking site, our request for a first floor room was not granted. Having a knee replacement makes it an issue to deal with elevators and long hallways. As usual 4th floor long hallways, tried explaining things to rude woman at the front desk who was having none of it! Both of us have disabilities, which (hopefully not)in case of a fire,would make it easier and give us a chance to get out in case of a fire! She basically ignored me, looked around me and said "next in line please!" The Breakfast Buffet was just "ok", had to heat the scrambled eggs up in the Microwave! Your bacic run of the mill other Hotel/Motel food. The Orange Juice looked like some sort or Butterscotch drink by the color of it. So unfortunately not one of my best reviews I've had to give,but this Lady was EXTREMELY RUDE! There is no excuse to treat customers in this way at all,not the job for her!!

We had the executive suite. It was very nice. Bed was very comfy. Staff were wonderful. Just too loud in pool area. Rules of the pool and hot tub were/are not followed. Children in the pool not always with an adult. Then the little ones in the hot tub with no adult again rules not followed
