Upon check-in, I was mistakenly given access to an occupied room, startling both myself and the other guest. As a solo female traveler, this incident triggered deep anxiety about the security of my stay. I immediately informed the front desk, where I encountered a dismissive attitude from the Manager on duty. His tone and response did not convey an understanding of the severity of the error, making me feel that guest safety was not a priority at this property. When I later requested a modest accommodation to address my distress, the MOD offered only a $15 dinner voucher, which I found insufficient and further dismissive given the situation.

I also spent considerable time trying to resolve the issue through T-Mobile travel, but the hotel ultimately denied my refund request, citing the room change and voucher as adequate compensation. My experience was further marred by the anxiety and discomfort that lingered throughout the night, leaving me unable to sleep and deeply concerned about the lack of attention to guest safety.
I never leave bad reviews, but this was the worst hotel experience I’ve encountered and will not be staying here again. Low quality room & service with a high rate due to location.

We had such a great stay at this hotel in Shasta! The room was cozy with a beautiful view and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was also fantastic, with delicious food and a great ambiance. Overall, it was the perfect spot for a romantic weekend, and we can’t wait to come back!

Just wrapped up a stay at this hotel, and I was really impressed. The location is ideal—right off the freeway and close to downtown. I especially enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting the area!

The Tree House was a wonderful find. The atmosphere and setting are extremely relaxing. The beds are very comfortable, just the right amount of comfort, not like sleeping on the floor like many places. The pillow selection is unexpected, one firmer, one softer. Rooms were spacious, clean and appropriate for the location (homey.)

We stayed at this BW while traveling to Oregon and then on our way back to California. The hotel is nice with great views and has great amenities. The prices are high! What I couldn’t understand was the fact that I paid more for a room during the week day vs weekend. The first room was nice with a balcony and on the way back I got less of a room that had been a smoking room some time in the past and charged $125.00 more. Make sure to check the room before you accept it.

I don't really like giving poor reviews. The room was fine after I figured out how to operate the remote temperature wall unit. The poor review I'm submitting is for the $$$ RATE I was given for a room. $279.78 for a double queen for one night. Admittedly I could have declined and kept driving but I was a weary traveler after having driven several hundred miles rather late in the day. I didn't know how far I was going to be able to drive so it was also an (unscheduled drop-in) and not a reservation. Even so, with this kind of explained to the clerk, no matter, they really socked it to me. Also no complimentary breakfast - they have a restaurant so you can pay. My advice would be to book in advance or keep driving to the next town.

Stayed here a few nights for work. Restaurant in the lobby is good. Service from the hotel staff was good. Rooms need a little work. Got my finger ripped open on a finishing nail by the door, hurt like hell too.

My friend left her laptop in the room. A couple hours later after we checked out she remembered and called the hotel the same day. They said that they couldn't find it. There's no other explanation than it being stolen because she left it on the bed. So my advice to you all be very careful what you leave, in the room. It can be stolen.
