We took this boat tour on Sunday March 12 2023.
The reservation was closed, but all we needed was direct call to Captain Al. I informed him that I am from India and on tour with grandkids.
He made special arrangement for 3 of us to tour the white river. It was kind of chartred boat. No extra or hidden charges.
We toured for about 135 minutes or so.
Captain knows each inch of this river. He drove our boat to remote waters, far corners with still waters.
We three enjoyed like we are in heavan, we are in divine place, we are in laps of mother river as our Indian culture believe. Consider nature as your God, Mother Father and life giver.
I could write 10 pages about the hospitality of Captain Al.
And my grandkids were thrilled to drive the boat back to marina.

We took three generations on a tour with Captain Al and it was wonderful. My parents, husband, two young adult daughters, and I all enjoyed the scenery, wildlife, and the very personable and knowlegeable Captain.
The boat was shaded so that even on a hot day, we were okay. The seats were comfortable and the ride was smooth.
Captain Al was very friendly, knowledgeable, and likeable. He put us at ease right away, answered our questions, and stopped anywhere we wanted so we could get our photos.
We saw saw cliffs, coves, creeks, ravines, riverbanks, caves, fallen trees, forests, grassy hillsides, bogs, etc. We floated over a beaver's lodge and cruised the open river. Wildlife that we were able to see included several heron, ducks, swallows, vultures, warblers, turtles, a spider that ate fish dragonflies, cardinals, wrens, butterflies, and deer drinking from the river.
We are newer to the area and wanted to explore with someone who knew what he was doing. We were not disppointed! Thank you, Captain Ál!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Beyond the Ozarks tour this past week. 4 of us, including our 81 year old mother, visited the area and our Beyond the Ozarks tour was the highlight of our trip. The Captain was wonderful in ensuring my mother was able to access the marina and his boat. I highly recommend this tour.

What a beautiful and peaceful boat ride. Our captain was very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. We saw gorgeous birds up close. Captain knew a few good spots to look for the birds. Very enjoyable. We would definitely go on this boat ride again.

We met Captain Al at a local brewery where we enjoyed a flight of local craft beers. Then headed to the lake in a Mercedes Sprinter that comfortably seated 10…including a 6’5”passenger that was able to stand inside. Once at the marina, we loaded the boat and Al gave the safety instructions so everyone would have a safe and enjoyable trip and boy did we! His boat is able to get into places on the lake that normal boats dare not go. We enjoyed the seeing wildlife and hearing Captain Al’s extra knowledge about the wildlife and geography. Captain Al is amazing! Such a great way to spend an afternoon. I highly recommend adding this tour to your things to do while in Northwest Arkansas. Great for locals and tourists. We had a blast! Looking forward to booking a tour in the fall when all the leaves are changing.

What started out as a great week in Arkansas with my sister, turned into an awesome week once we hit the jackpot on the River with Beyond the Ozarks river tour which left out of the War Eagle Marina. The Captain/owner of the boat was awesome. Professional, knowledgeable & engaging made this excursion worth every penny . We already have plans to go back in the spring and will definitely make this a tradition whenever we find ourselves back in NW Arkansas. We recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great time outdoors soaking in the beauty of the area in a way unlike any other experience. The small business owners in this area especially , need and deserve our support. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

I cannot possibly recommend this tour enough, is one of the coolest things I've ever done. Captain Al was extremely friendly, helpful and informative. He has such a passion for his work, he was beyond phenomenal.

The tour was way more than I had expected and we had a wonderful time going around the coves and stopping at different landmarks pointing out features in the area including plants, animals, rocks and fish. He also will tell you about the history of the area, when it was flooded to make the river, and what's underneath the water.

If you are looking for a totally enjoyable 2 hours, please book this. The road to the marina is narrow and twisty so plan accordingly, it's not a straight shot off the highway. You don't have to pay to get to the marina, just tell the guard where you are going.

Captain Al, you are the best and I can't wait until I can come back again!

Had a wonderful time on the lake with Al and Beyond the Ozarks. The tour was perfect, even when the wildlife didn’t show off as much as we’d hoped. Al was knowledgeable, entertaining and about the nicest guy you’ll come across. We saw hidden gems on the lake that we would have never seen without Al. We highly recommend the tours to anyone in the area- local or visitor!
