We truly cannot thank this team enough for making our wedding day absolutely seamless and stress-free! Jamie Allan was great to work with and she made the whole planning process feel easy and fun!

Everything came together so beautifully—it was exactly what we had envisioned. We received so many compliments on the food (especially the mac n’ cheese and empanadas—huge hits!), and the drinks were delicious. The bartenders were so friendly, and the entire staff, from setup to takedown, was incredibly helpful and kind.

Jamie was our amazing coordinator for our rehearsal dinner for our wedding, and she was the best! She made everything go smoothly and stress free. If you want a flawless event in a stunningly beautiful, classy environment, look no further. Bienvenue hosted our wedding reception and made our event meaningful not only to us, but to every guest in attendance. I was married at a nearby church but used an antique filled room to dress. Because the room was so nice, my pre-pictures are even more precious. Jamie, our coordinator took care of the few deliveries and had suggested perfect arrangements for the reception space. During the event she was easy to find but checked in at key times to make sure things proceeded smoothly. I cannot thank Jamie and the other staff enough for an incredibly lovely event.

Where do we begin with providing a proper client review of such a FANTASTIC enterprise experience Is it with the: 1) OUTSTANDING client-oriented Team; or, 2) DELICIOUS 5 star Michelin-grade cuisine; or, 3) AMAZING welcoming circa 1820 federalist-style event venue?

Firstly, the TEAM:
No business can operate to its highest degree of precision absent having the highest caliber TEAM to execute flawlessly and achieve such performance. Have no concerns on this front, as business partners Chase and Michael have assembled the highest caliber cohesive TEAM to exceed client expectations. Kudos to Chase and Michael!

From the moment we met and engaged with TEAM Lead Jamie Allan (Event Sales Coordinator), we knew we made the perfect choice. Jamie is extremely professional, personable and energetic, possessing a broad breadth of hands-on and leadership experience in the event coordination arena, both of which serve her very well; and her clients and their guests are the direct beneficiaries. Importantly, Jamie listened to our initial thoughts and provided insightful information facilitating our collective best-informed decisions in support of this special personal occasion. We want to recognize, and thank whole-heartedly, Jamie's TEAM members, as follows: Chefs Michael and Nancy; Attendants Isaiah, Jonathan and Tristen; and Mixologist Jane. Each TEAM member was friendly, gracious, professional and engaging, making us feel they were truly part of our celebration.

Secondly (but equally), the CUISINE:
With so many options to select from the events catering package inventory, it was hard to decide, but with Jamie's assistance we found the cocktail hour/displays, beverage service and seated plated dinner/dessert service to best suit our desired experience. The wide variety of salads, main course proteins, sides and desserts stands to offer excellent choices for even the most discerning of palates, and Jamie can ensure selection flexibility so as to meet most imaginable requests.

Lastly (but equally), the VENUE:
As noted in part on the Bienvenue website, "Bienvenue was built in 1820 . . .", a date which I took note of, being a native "Mainer", as Maine received its statehood in 1820, thus adding an additional touch of significance to this most special of occasions. We were drawn to the architectural beauty of what we would describe as either a period two-story brick federalist or colonial-style home, which has been restored but yet still maintains its original beauty, elegance and charm. Guests were welcomed as the entered the centered front door of the main structure, and it was a true pleasure to see how their eyes scanned the interior while hearing them remark as to the historic 1800s beauty which exists. The venue is sized appropriately to instill a welcoming, warm and cozy environment for guests, but designed such to permit a smooth flow from room to room and outward onto the large exterior slate patio area (which is lighted and outfitted with Bromic propane heating units for guest comfort). The principal dining area for our group consisted of the "newer" centralized enclosed addition which, due to its abundance of tall windows, permitted guests to enjoy well-lighted views of most of the venue's property. Our party of 46 in total enjoyed a rather spacious environment in which to mix and mingle, and, as noted previously, to gather and listen (and dance) to our live acoustic entertainment. We believe one would be hard pressed to identify another similar venue of such elegance and warmth to host your special event. Kudos to Chase and Michael!

We conclude our review by recommending, with the highest regards, the Village Hospitality Group and their Bienvenue Event Venue and affiliated 1933 Public House Restaurant. It is rare today to find individually such caring people, 5 star cuisines and/or a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but with the Village Hospitality Group all three elements combine to provide the most wonderful of experiences.

We just recently had my parents anniversary party here. It was an absolute blast. Everyone on there team made things such a breeze from setting up the event itself to creating a wonderful menu that fit our needs. The space itself is awesome. The building is true to the history of Powhatan with nice modern touches. Thanks to Chase Kayla and the rest of your team for making it a great night with friends and family. Y'all are the best. Bienvenue was the site of the annual Free Clinic of Powhatan Volunteer party. Jamie and the entire staff made our party an outstanding event and a huge success!
