This place was a 10/10 all around. Becky was awesome! We decided to come during their rainy wet season, but she did everything she could to get us a ride in. We did a 2hr ride which was perfect and the scenery was unreal! Horses were well taken care of, well behaved, and very surefooted! Matt our trail guide was very knowledgeable and we were able to learn a lot about their trails and their horses. I rode Hotshot and my boyfriend rode Superman. I encourage everyone to check out their website and book a ride with Becky and Matt. Definitely will be coming back next year for the 4 hour adventure!

Husband and I visited 6/24 and had a great experience! Becky is incredibly knowledgeable not only about horses but also Hocking Hills and the native plants & wildlife. Her horses are her top priority and are very very well loved. She is an amazing all around horsewoman. If you visit Blue Moon Acres you will learn much more than just how to sit on a horse, but don’t be in a hurry if you book a ride; this is an experience so enjoy it. 10/10 would recommend!!

We visit to Hocking hills from northern KY every year for our anniversary in May. Top on the list of our priorities is to get in a ride at Blue Moon acres. I love the horses! She tells you which ones are harder to ride and which ones will eat as soon as you take your eye off of them (which is most of them). She has horses for almost all levels of experience.

One thing that really stands out, that I love, is that the horses comes first. The ages, weight, experience of riders, forecast, length of ride all factor in to her decision of allowing the ride to happen The woman who runs everything (I'm ashamed I can't think of her name right now) is the most knowledgeable person in the area. She knows about horses flowers plants wildlife you name it.

These horses are very well taken care of, and it's fun to help groom them before and/or after your ride.

I rode Black Jack, my husband rode Hot Shot. It was perfect, just like the other times. Here are some pictures from our trip in May.

👍The owner loves these horses and takes wonderful care of them, and it shows!
She's very particular of how much time they work, strict diet, regular vet calls, etc.
The area we rode was gorgeous as you'd expect being it's in the beautiful Hocking Hills. We had a two hour ride with a great photo-op at the halfway point. It was a big rock outcropping and we lined up for the picture. She doesn't book in the month of August as it's too hot for the animals and they get a well deserved break at that time. Fair warning, you're riding trails with elevation changes. If you think you will be on flat ground you're mistaken. However, the hills are not extreme and the horses know what they're doing, so you don't need to worry. I definitely recommend this place.

I absolutely LOVED this place! It was my first time EVER Horseback Riding! The owners & help are amazing! Very knowledgeable! I learned alot from them. They were so patient with me asking so many questions. They took it step by step with me. Also got to groom our horses before heading out! We did the hour and a half trail.. the "Groom & Ride". You get to relax and get to know and bond with your horse when you choose the Groom and Ride! It was the best experience with the best trails to view as you Horseback! I rode Hot Shot who is 21 years old and has been riding for 17 years! After today. I marked Horseback Riding off my bucket list... and now making it a yearly tradition with my best friend! I highly recommend for other adults who are experienced or never been!

Absolutely wonderful experience, the owners are incredible and do a ton of hard work to keep the business going and horses healthy. There are a lot of stables that prioritize customers over the horses health but that is not the case here. HIGHLY recommend doing a morning ride and groom the horses. You get to chat with the owner and learn SO much. The ride was gorgeous and the horses were so well behaved and fun to see each of their personalities show on the trail. The experience is above and beyond what I expected and is MORE than worth the price point.

Note please just make sure you follow directions closely for booking they are running it basically with one person and is super easy when they don’t have to go back and forth trying to get information you should have already provided. The booking experience was very smooth and easy for me through Facebook messenger.

Wonderful time!!! First you MUST call ahead or email ahead and get an appointment. There are no walk in rides available. It is that way because she does personalize your ride and plans it out for you. Small groups is her thing and she (Becky) has so much knowledge of the area you will learn tons on your ride. My daughter and I had a splendid time. The horses are great and Becky ensures the right horse for you. We hope to come back soon. Highly highly recommend!!

Our experience was beyond all expectations! It started off a bit panicked when we accidentally went to the wrong place (Happy Trails). I had gotten my research mixed up and had lost service in the area to try to get the right directions. They tried to tell me Blue Moon Acres was still "40 minutes away" but actually it was more like 10 (Yet another reason I would never go there, and let me save you the research and just don't go there either). We managed to get service driving like a racecar driver hoping to maybe make it in time still and were feeling more hopeful that it wasn't 40 minutes. After getting there Becky was very calm and relaxed and had no problem having our small group (myself, my boyfriend and another couple) start a bit later than planned. (Whew!) The ride was great, not being stuck nose-to-tail for 2 hours was definitely what drew me here and away from other facilities. It was nice to have horses with personality too and being matched to our own personality (mine needed a more stern rider since he liked to munch, and needed to have someone who could pull him back when he got distracted). With it being about 10 years since I had ridden last and my boyfriend's first time, it was a great trail to get a lot of different terrains to be a comfortable challenge for him yet a great refresher for getting my "riding-legs" back for me. She even had a nice spot where we stopped and she took lots of pictures for us and gave us an option to take the easier trail back or keep going on a more natural trail (we took the natural trail) and the sunset was beautiful through the trees. We ran a little over the planned 2 hour ride but it was nice that we got to go at a natural pace rather than stuck to a time limit. She seems to take a lot of pride in her horses and running her business with an enjoyable aspect rather than just to have an extended state fair-like "pony carousel" and make money. We will definitely be making this stop a tradition for us.
