We recently went on a whale-watching tour with Captain Mike from Bodega Bay on August 8th, and it was an unforgettable experience! Despite the morning fog, the water was wonderfully calm, setting the perfect stage for our adventure.

Captain Mike was not only professional but also a joy to converse with, sharing his extensive knowledge about marine life and the local ecosystem. We were thrilled to witness several whales, including one that leaped majestically out of the water, which was truly a breathtaking sight. In addition to the whales, we also encountered playful sea lions and dolphins, adding to the magic of the day.

We highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in marine wildlife. Captain Mike’s expertise and enthusiasm made the trip both educational and exciting. This tour is a must-do for nature lovers visiting Bodega Bay!

Captain Mike was great! We got lucky on our trip seeing two pairs of whales. The humpback whales got so close to the boat it was really special. Boat was clean and our trip was comfortable. I highly recommend it.

The absolute best whale watching experience I've ever had. As a diver I've seen lots of whales over the years, but I've never seen huge packs of sea lions hunting the bait as the whales bring it together and then 8 humpback whales all eating at once. We saw so many whales and sea lions, it was amazing. My 6-year old granddaughter kept saying, "this is the best day of my life!" I will add that the Captain was one of the finest I've been on the water with. It was choppy and most would have had us bouncing and pounding with the waves. He sliced through them like butter so my adult kids and my Grands had the best experience possible. I highly recommend this charter

Mike was a perfect host and he knew exactly where to find the whales. We had close contact to whales for several minutes. In addition the boat ride was so fun and would have been worth the drive to Bodega Bay itself. The other whale watch boats went out at the same time and weren't able to locate any whales.
