Very nice but quant visitors center! Everyone inside was very knowledgeable and friendly, they have a small little gift shop with some T-shirts, magnets, mugs, stamps. There is an upstairs you can explore with more information about the park and the surrounding lands. Glad we stopped!

The park rangers were very helpful and friendly. The visitor center was very nicely setup and offered a lot of interesting information about the park. The trails were very nicely maintained and easily accessible. The canal trail was very peaceful, relaxing, and an easy hike.

What a great visitor center, especially for kids. We loved the kids area upstairs and the large map downstairs. The rangers, as always, were extra helpful in choosing great hikes, finding the right level of activities for our new 6 YO to complete for her Junior Ranger badge, and then were very patient with her as she was sworn in. I wish they had more kids books about the Cuyahoga area and less generic materials but perhaps it doesn't exist. Overall, great experience, this is our second time here, the first time was early in the pandemic and there were many things that weren't open then that we had the opportunity to experience in this trip.

Wonderful first stop for my trip to Cuyahoga River National Park! The park rangers were very helpful in pointing me towards the most popular attractions that could fit in my one to two hour availability. The building has a bunch of information about the park and its history as well as a fun little store for souvenirs!

Perfect place to start your trip to Cuyahoga Valley. The rangers here are super helpful, offering information about trail closures and the best sights! Also, within the center is a bunch of exhibits and a children’s area. Make sure to visit Blue Hen Falls, which is an approximately 1 mile out-and-back trail starting from the visitor center.

The park guides at the store have the best tips. Bathrooms are very clean and heated, and there's a water bottle refill station at the water fountain. If you are taking the trail to see Blue Hen Falls nearby, beware of icy steps on snowy weather days, though. Wish there was railing to hold onto for safety at the steps. We saw people sliding on their butts down them ahead of us and turned back halfway to the falls and went to the next stop.

This is a great place to talk with a Park Ranger and get the lay of the land. We were offered maps, and the ranger helped us plan a route to bike and the best direction to go at specific times of the day.
There are some great books on the area, as well as cool souvenirs to remember your visit. It's a beautiful place to wander and stretch your legs, and also a great place to have a picnic and watch the kayaks go down the river.
If you are planning on taking the train, I recommend buying your tickets in advance.

Went on a rainy Tuesday in October. Large parking lot across from the rail lines. The towpath is right behind the building on the other side of the Cuyahoga River. Clean and spacious restrooms upstairs. Really needed those after a long wet trail run to warm myself up again. Downstairs has a small but nice collection of gift items, so shopped for a bit as well. The rangers gave very good information about the different trails, and what their conditions might be with all the rain.
