Magical Memories Entertainment had the pleasure of providing DJ entertainment for the Bruce Museum’s Family Benefit, and we cannot say enough about how wonderful it was to work with their team. From start to finish, the staff at the museum was organized, professional, and incredibly welcoming. They made sure every detail was covered, allowing us to focus on creating a fun and engaging atmosphere for the families in attendance.

It was clear how much thought and care went into planning this event. Their team was attentive, communicative, and truly invested in making sure the evening was a success, not just for the guests but also for the vendors like us. It is always a joy to collaborate with a team that is so dedicated and easy to work with.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Bruce Museum and look forward to supporting more of their events in the future. They made our job seamless, and it is no surprise their events are always such a hit!

Exceptional museum, especially for children where you can see tons of art, tons of minerals, tons of fossils and tons of live aquatic animals from Connecticut. It is a smaller version of the Met Plus natural history that is much less crowded. Strongly recommend.

It is free for children on summer weekends and $20 for adults/ $15 for students. They also have a lot of fun activities for kids and we got to enjoy the clay fossil making activity, with a teacher on site (thank you Ms Gaby)

Plan to spend around 2 hours and enjoy the amazing park after or before.

They also have a nice cafe inside

Decided to spend a Sunday morning languidly touring the Bruce Museum for my first visit. What a gem! Who knew that the 2024 annual competition for the Federal Duck Stamp artwork was held here? For that matter, who even knew about the Duck Stamp history? And those glorious ducks! Saw wonderful works by Andrew Wyeth. As a (very) fledgling pencil artist myself, I was thrilled to study his watercolors up close. But, when I reached the Joel Sternfeld photograph "Exhausted Renegade Elephant" I simply started crying. So sad, such a metaphor, so moving.

Finding the Bruce is easy, parking is free and plentiful, and the signage is excellent. The content of the Museum is just right for a single day visit and seemed very engaging for the children I observed. I didn't eat in the cafe but it looked bright. clean, and inviting. Now, keep this next tidbit a secret.....please. The giftshop has a lovely selection of perfect games, jewelry, and other items at remarkably low prices. Don't tell anyone!

Nice little museum! Many wonderful exhibits from gorgeous impressionist paintings to natural history fossils and the like. There are activities for kids to do every so often, which is really nice. Great place to spend a cold, rainy afternoon.

The museum is small, but it has a notable collection of European and American impressionists and modern painters and sculptors, as well as sections on minerals and natural history. The ongoing exhibition on Connecticut Modern, Monsters & Mermaids, Then is Now and Robert Motherwell and Multiplicity were well presented. The cafe is great for a quick bite. The gift shop has a good collection of souvenirs. A tip for parents : across the museum is a beautiful kiddie playground.

Been visiting this local treasure since my return to the area (1988) and have witnessed ever evolving exhibitions. Wonderful while the kids were growing up, my son eventually volunteering @ the Long Island Sound satellite. The recent tastefully done expansion greatly increased display spaces. IMHO, there's something for everyone now, and not so overwhelming compared to The City museums and the constant FOMO.

I am impressed. This is a great place to enjoy viewing beautiful art pieces and scientific exhibits at the same time. Some areas are very fun and educational for kids as there are a lot of interactive exhibits, including a radioactivity meter, digital microscope, mineral gallery, a lot of touch screens, and others. The museum building itself is very beautiful, modern, and hi-tech.
