Great place to visit along the road.
As adults, it was fun, but, not that much to do or to see there. The visit of the mine and train were nice.

If you have kids, I’m sure they’ll enjoy it! We saw many young kids with stars in their eyes, ans I would have love it as a kid.

A cool little slice of history you can share with the fam or even by yourself. Entry prices and amenities are very reasonable and Calico Chuck over at the mystery house was fun as h*ll. The salted toffee cookies at the main restaurant are some of the best I've had in my entire life and the fudge down the way is delicious. it's also buy 2 get 2 free~! AND there's a whole bunch of other shops so it's easy finding something for everyone. Highly suggest going to the mystery museum first as you can get deals for the train and other attractions which are also great to see. Very cool gem, I just wish the cemetery next door had been open. Maybe next time :]

Our family thoroughly enjoyed exploring the historic town! Coincidentally, the label of being a ghost town was quite factual when we went because there was hardly anyone there - even on a Saturday afternoon! Perhaps the heat deterred people from coming later in the day.

However, the town featured several shops, a couple of attractions - but some were unfortunately closed when we were there. There are ceaseless opportunities for stepping back into the past and divulging in rich history!

It’s very interesting

If you’ve never been there, you have to go visit it

Although unfortunately now it is too reconditioned, and it has already lost the spirit of the abandoned town that I met 20 years ago

Today is very fun.

Many delicious things to eat and several musical bands playing live at the same time in different places of the town

You’re going to have a good time

Calico Ghost Town is an impressive and well-preserved slice of the Old West, originally founded in 1881 during California’s silver rush. Visiting Calico feels like stepping into a Western movie, with over 30 original buildings and a few reconstructed ones that give a true sense of what life was like in a booming mining town. The town was once home to over 500 mines, and it produced millions of dollars in silver ore before it was abandoned in the late 1890s. Now a historical landmark, Calico offers a unique glimpse into the past with fun attractions like mine tours, old-timey shops, and even gold panning. It’s a fascinating destination for history buffs, families, or anyone looking for a bit of adventure in the desert!

Stopped in for a visit while driving from LA to Las Vegas. So glad we stopped because it was a great experience. See how the silver miners lived in this once thriving town. Employees were very friendly and very knowledgeable. Would love to visit again someday.

This is a great place to go have a little walk chill and as I told my son as a first time was cool but it’s something you won’t get old. I wish I knew they had a restaurant and I’m talking about a good menu restaurant. I stopped somewhere to eat thinking they only had probably hotdogs and popcorn and when my son and I arrived, went to check on the menu at the restaurant and I wish I had eaten there. Definitely a place to come and enjoy although I didn’t see dogs I was told is pet friendly but I was not 100% my full-size dog be suitable for the place, and it is very special next time I’ll bring him.
