Nilu, did such a great job helping me plan the most amazing Bachelorette trip with my ladies. Coming from the east coast, I had no clue where to begin, thank goodness for Nilu. She arranged all the transportation for our group of 10, checked out the airbnb we picked before booking, made some great suggestions for wineries to visit as well as made us reservations as some great spots downtown Napa. I would suggest her service to anyone planning a trip to wine country and hope to use her again in the future.

I used California Tasting’s again this year to help plan my Mother’s retirement trip. Nilu and her crew once again did not disappoint for our group of 14. She helped so much with suggesting wineries to visit, restaurants, transportation etc… She even did a wine and walking tour for our group through downtown Sonoma. We had her stock the fridge for our group prior to our arrival. Everything was perfect. I will always recommend Nilu and her services for anyone traveling to wine country.

I recently turned 35 and wanted to have a big celebration with my group of friends. The property I rented featured a wine cave so I thought why not make use of it instead of going to a winery?

From the very first conversation, Nilu was extremely helpful and informative. I explained that I was looking for a private wine tasting activity for a milestone birthday and she took care of everything from there. And she did not disappoint! She was very thorough, asked me a few questions, and even went to preview the property to make sure it was suitable.

The event was about an hour long and it was unforgettable. Nilu procured 6 wines from 3 different vintners, one of which grows its grapes on the property we stayed at, which was really cool. The wine educator arrived early to set up a beautiful table setting and was ready on time. A wine maker arrived a little bit after that a wine maker arrived to showcase several varietals he offers. Both were extremely informative and engaging, we learned a lot and tasted some delicious wines! After the event they cleaned everything up and I didn’t have to worry about a thing.

What a wonderful experience Nilu Afshar, owner of California Tastings, coordinated for my husband and me. I decided to visit my husband, who was on business in the Santa Rosa area, for an impromptu long weekend. Nilu not only pulled off the impossible by coordinating a tour of several wineries last minute, she made sure the experience was incredible. Our driver, German, was a joy and extremely knowledgeable about wines and the countryside. Knowing one winery held personal meaning for us, Nilu made sure that winery was on the itinerary. Every tour was personalized. Nilu's professionalism, attention to detail and responsiveness is incredible. She knows the area, has personal relationships, and knows how to coordinate an incredible experience. We had a great time with Nilu on Friday in the Wine Tasting 101 class. We did the class on Zoom. She went over some wine etiquette as well as some details of the wine making process. We did so while drinking wine and discussing the differences in the varietals. Before the class she communicated with me by e-mail and on the phone to discuss specifics that we wanted to learn about in class and made wine suggestions for us to buy for the night. I think the class would be great in person too, but the Zoom option does allow you to invite friends that do not live in the same area. If you want to have fun while learning more about wine tasting then check it out!

Such a fun experience that is catered to what you want to learn! We learned about abs tasted 6 different varietals and learned about the wine making process and how to describe wines. Nilu is amazing and so much fun. Couldn’t recommend more!
