Camp is currently being restored by the City of Bisbee, AZ. No access to property.
Gorgeous views from Camp. Pretty cool just to drive by and see.

Not much there...old buildings that are fenced off. With the signs I photo graphed. Being saved for future historic renovation.

This is now a work in progress - as millions of funds have been approved to restore this historic and important site. The reason I gave it four instead of five stars is because there just isn't much to see right now - and what you can see has to be viewed through a chain link fence. It's still worth a stop if you are in the Bisbee or Sierra Vista areas. Kudos to the people improving this site.

We visited during an open house celebrating the official start of the restoration.

It's an amazing time travel - imagining the soldiers - many of the Buffalo Soldiers (Black servicemen) - right on the Mexican border. In fact, the border crossing into Naco, Sonora, Mexico is just a few blocks away. That, too may be worth a visit, although there isn't a lot to see. I would recommend parking your car and walking across. It is, generally, safe for gringo visitors.

I attended a special event honoring the Buffalo Soldiers. The history was fascinating and the program was enlightening. The restoration plans will certainly be a blessing to the community, bringing artists and teachers to the area. The site is definitely worth a visit.
