When Schools are closed and there is a snow emergency and I can’t get assignments.I do not have a full paycheck, I utilize the pantry for dog food (but thay only give me about 10 to 16 oz. I have a big dog)and food so I don’t have to buy food and have enough money for gas and utilities but when they’re busy, especially around Thanksgiving I had to wait a long time. I really need dog food hadn’t worked for two weeks so I called in (but they don’t do same day call in’s so no food for me today . I got to use gas and come back tomorrow. the place was not busy there wasn’t anyone there for 30 minutes only one in an hour. they would not let me in. I had to make an appointment for the next day, which is probably going to be busy. They put giveaway things out on the table for people to take usually people before me take everything and there’s nothing left since there was no one there there was a whole table full, so I started to look through it and had a armful, one of the workers gave me a bag. The other worker came out and said that stuff is for today’s people so I stopped looking and was going to put it back and she said you can have what you have but that’s for today’s people you don’t have an appointment today . Made me feel like I was doing something wrong. I’ve seen them turn away people that really needed their help . Your ID cannot be expired. I seen people who were hungry get turned away at thanksgiving their ID was expired two days you have to have a utility bill recent with your address on it or even if you’re hungry and really needed the food you are turned away if your household is small, you’re not giving some good choices that a bigger household is given. I find the staff not very caring. I am a volunteer at a nonprofit and we never treat people like that. There’s always an exception to a rule.

***BEWARE CHECK YOUR EXPIRE DATES***
My 1st visit this week,and almost every thing was expired,when I brought it to their attention one was concerned, and the other lady said,oh it's good for months after the date! NO IT IS NOT!!! Ask your doctor! Mine said dairy is not good but a day or so after,canned goods,vegetables,canned meat,bag,boxed rice,noodles,pasta,not! Frozen meat 6 to 8 mths...this place,I saw One year,6mths,few months..funny that the back area was plum full of items,probably not outdated,maybe they need to rotate and check their items before they give them to people whom trust them to be handing out food that is consumable! Please check your dates,I will never go back.,because the one older lady didn't care!
