12.5.21 What an incredible experience this was. We sometimes forget how amazing CT is and all the free things there are to enjoy. Not only is this a great historical venue but it was a fun experience for the entire family. We learned about Canton, Collinsville. And also enjoyed their Gallery of Trees 2021. Perfect day.

Very nice staff. Very knowledgeable. I love the festival of Trees during the winter holidays and in the summer the front deck showcases many musical guests. Its fun to stop in the museum when your walking around town to find out what fun things are scheduled .

They have some neat stuff and every time I've been they've done some sort of improvement. I usually go when they have thier holiday tree show, where they raffle off holiday trees. It's fun, and everyone working/volunteering are always delightful.

Each year Canton Historical Museum provides a fabulous display of beautiful and creatively decorated Christmas trees. . These trees are arranged amid historical scenarios in a wonderful old building bubbling over with artifacts and stories. This event, followed by incredible pizza from LaSalle Market across the street, marks the beginning of a joyful season for my family.

Took my 13-year-old son this afternoon. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much. Happy to say it ended up being VERY interesting. The tour guide was super nice and we learned quite a bit about the history surrounding Collinsville. To echo everyone else, definitely check out the trains. I'm sorry we didn't visit sooner. We will be back!

Great museum with a big 3-floor exhibition telling you about a variety of jobs, households and activities of 2 centuries ago. Guided tour is very interesting and requires about 2 or more hours, but we did not even notice that. It is very sad that this truly historical place works mostly on volunteers due to low activity of visitors.
