We went on the Dolphin Ecotour with Shell Island today and it was AMAZING. Hands down the best dolphin tour I've ever been on. Captain John and the crew were all awesome, super friendly and informative. We saw so many dolphins and Shell Island was beautiful! The boat was great; covered and steady even with the big swells, A/C downstairs of you need it, restrooms and snacks plus other sundry items available for purchase. If you are ever in PCB, I highly recommend this your with Captain Andersons!

Highly recommend Captain Anderson's tours. Worth every penny. Captain and crew were superb. First mate was knowledgeable of the area, history behind landmarks and sea life. Snack bar was limited, but reasonably priced.

We saw dolphins, hammer heads, tiger sharks, and other cool looking fish. I'm disappointed by the amount of trash on Shell Island, but that's no fault of Captain Andersons. We went on a Monday and only had 6 other guests on a boat that easily holds 60. I know they probably made no money on the trip, so I appreciate they took us out instead of refunding us. Very customer oriented. Will definitely use them again.

Nice price and tour. Took dolphin sunset tour on a Tuesday for 1.5 hr. Loved that there was not a big crowd on the boat because you need to move around a lot to see the 🐬 Ate nachos in the bar before the trip. They were pretty good for $12.

First time doing the Deep Sea Fishing, and it was definitely an experience! Absolutely loved it! The deck hand (wish I could remember his name) was incredible! Always there to help, made the trip so much fun. Caught a bunch of fish amd Will definitely do this again. I'm glad we did the 10-hour trip.

We did the sunset dolphin cruise and were not disappointed. Great weather, amazing crew.

It's hard to know which one to pick when you want to do a cruise like this... We picked right!

(Deep-Sea Fishing) I apologize for the length of the post. Please read all of the review as there are good and bad parts. Also, keep in mind I have been out on many boats both as a customer and not as a customer. I've gone out on the water with Capt. Anderson's charter 2 times. The first time was a 5-hour trip with Capt. Erich on March 18 2025 and that was exactly how it should have gone. Trip number 2 was a 10-hour with Capt. Mike on April 12 2025 and was exactly how a trip should NOT have gone. Just so it's known, we did have 2 pods of dolphins harassing the boat that was clearly uncontrollable/unavoidable.

Trip 1, the crew were a welcoming group that were very informative to all, especially the inexperienced. The boat was cleaner and maintained better than I'd have expected. The equipment/gear was in good working condition. The deck hands went above and beyond their duties to ensure the absolute best experience to all. The gally and staff inside ensured a clean, roomy, affordable environment. The captain controlled the boat very well, expertly maintaining boat position.

Trip 2, was literally the opposite of trip 1 and the differences were as follows:

- All but 2 of the deck crew were either Jr high or barely high school kids with little to no experience and not attentive
- The privately used gear restrictions were not met resulting in subpar gear creating many large tangles throughout the trip
- Anglers had to constantly seek bait
- The equipment/gear appeared to have been purchased from a flea market and wore out. One customer had to remove a zip tie near the tip of the rod because of line interference that appeared to have been used for a price tag.
- The kitchen staff in the gally provided great service.
- The sitting area of the gally was not roomy and was dirty/sticky/with trash everywhere, and the sitting area was further reduced because of no less than 300 extra rods occupying several booths
- The captain couldn't maintain proper positioning creating several large tangles
- The deck hands also left with much larger stringers than any of the customers (pictured below) as they literally waited for the customers to get limits, then allowed customers to fill deck hand stringers with larger catches of same species.

There were 3 of us out fishing on the trip 2. It was a trial run for a much larger group that was in the works for June. The june trip is being scrapped at this time. I have attached the pictures below in order. The first is of trip one with just over a 20 pound stringer. Trip 2 stringer were as follows for our 3 person group; 6,9 and 10 pound stringers. The blue basket is of a few of the stringers that the crew kept. Our average fish was roughly 3/4 of a pound were the crew fish averaged 3 pounds.

My contact information is (478)955-0312 if anyone has any questions.

During our family vacations to Panama City, Florida, my father would often take us on a day trip to Captain Anderson's for deep-sea fishing. This historic location holds many cherished memories for me. Now, as a grandparent, I had the pleasure of sharing this experience with my daughter and her family. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the venue had retained much of its original charm over the years. We strolled along the boardwalk and observed fishermen unloading their daily catch. The food pellets for feeding fish and seabirds were still available, delighting my grandchildren as they watched the fish swarm to eat. The addition of a picnic area with games and outdoor toys catered well to younger children. Several small gift shops and an ice cream parlor had also been added, offering Dipping Dots ice cream and smoothies. The restaurant and upstairs open bar remain, serving impeccable cuisine. Visiting this renowned marina was a wonderful experience, reviving fond memories and creating new ones for my grandchildren.

Notice: The bar and grill was called the Upper Deck. We went here to grab a bite, some drinks and watch our Hogs, and this is an awesome place to do it! They had plenty of tvs to watch your favorite game, and the view of the Harbor was pretty. It is an order at the bar only kind of place but they bring your food to your table. The specials here are AWESOME! A bucket of big cans of beer was $15! They also have food specials and their happy hour is great! I am attaching a current menu and specials to this post. If you like to eat and drink reasonably, this is your place. I had the club and had to bring half of it and most of the fries home. It was all good. We had wings, pizza, a club and the tuna dip.....omg. delish. Try it out.
