My husband and I have booked Captain Jack's Tour almost every year for my birthday since 2008. We normally book the Wine Country Tour and it never disappoints. I took one of my best friends along this time for a girls' getaway trip since she'd never been to Santa Barbara. She loved it!

The tour packages are reasonable, guides are friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and professional and the tour vehicles are well maintained, comfortable and clean.

Every Vineyard stop has its' unique qualities and a wide array of tasty vino. Among our favorites are Gainey and Bridlewood Wineries. The Olive Oil and Vinegar stop, however, remains our favorite part of the tour. The perfect pallet cleanser midpoint in the day.

Along the way, you'll be surrounded by breathtaking views and maybe even make some new friends.

An overall excellent experience. It's just the perfect way to explore Santa Barbara and the Ynez Valley for any occasion. We will definitely continue to book tours with Captain Jack's and confidently recommend to friends and family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tour with Michelle of Captain Jack's. She proved very knowledgeable about the area we visited (Los Olivos, Solvang, Buellton) in mid-September 2022, describing the varietals we would soon encounter, pointing out film sites from the movie “Sideways,” and recommending an excellent restaurant in Santa Barbara where we ate dinner after the tour. The lunch Captain Jack’s catered for us at Kaena Winery was lovely; I highly recommend the Cuban sandwich if it’s available. The van we traveled in was spacious but still intimate, and with just six people on our tour, not crowded in the least. We also appreciated the complimentary snacks packed for us. Thank you to Michelle for making our visit so pleasant. We would definitely recommend Captain Jack’s to anyone traveling in the area.

We signed up to do kayaking and horseback riding with our two teenagers. Both were excellent!

The kayaking was so much fun, we booked a second tour two days later. Meredith was a great kayaking guide, and the sights did not disappoint!

We took the 1.5 hour horseback riding tour. The horses were perfect - they know the trails by heart. And the scenery is gorgeous. Our guide was informative and personable, and the staff is fantastic with kids and adults.

Do yourself a favor and book tours with Captain Jack's. They are reasonably priced and very communicative. Highly recommended!
